Anyone familiar with transportation between Houston and Galveston

A group of eight of us, all adults, are cruising on RCL's Harmony of the Seas in July. Flying into Houston Hobby. Trying to decide on a private service for transportation between Houston and Galveston.

Here's the list I've found:


They are all very expensive (compared to what we've paid in the past between WDW & PC. Anyone have experience with any of these? Gavelston Express has a lot of recent poor reviews on TripAdvisor.

My parents have sailed out of gal Eaton before. I believe it was cheaper for them to rent a car each way.

If it was 6 of us or less, that's probably what I'd do. Eight would require two vehicles. And a way to/from the rental place in Galveston.

We used Galveston Express about 4 years ago and had no problem with them. They were reservations by schedule, so you need to know when you want to be picked up at the airport and when you’re off the ship. Again, this was 4 years ago.
