My mother MAY go with us on our next trip to the *world*. The problem is she is terrified of flying because she is TERRIBLY claustrophobic (sp?). We will have to heavily sedate her to get her on the plane
. So, I have to be really careful with the size of the plane that I book. The bigger, the better! Anyway, I was checking out the USAirways' flights and was wondering what size these planes are. Has anyone ever riden or seen a Fokker Jet 100, or a Dehavilland Dash 8 (used by USAirways Express - Piedmont Airlines)? The later one sounds like a crop duster to me which will NOT fly with my mother! Any one an expert on airplanes or jets out there? TIA
It's a real jet aircraft, just one of the smallest. It seats around 100 people and has 3 seats on one side and 2 on the other (3-2 seating ... or is it 2-3 ...).
I think my mother would litterally die before she would get on a plane that small.
Thanks again for the info, better to know now than after I bought the tickets and we went to board!
