I think both of the Embassy suites are really nice, if I had no price I'd stay at the Hyatt downtown
but since your going to spend all your money on college, maybe not! If you are thinking of the one near 270/71 it's near shrock rd which has A LOT of stuff on it. My husband lived up around there in college. It was always too far away for me.
I think it's pretty common to not be able to have a car your freshman year at a lot of colleges, since you are staying there in the dorm you have the meal plan so you dont have to worry about food. In foundation year studies you are blocked with a group of students, and you take most of your classes together. You really form some lasting friendships, there are aways the local students who they mix in, and they can have a car.
The scholarship is a big deal, I know! I wouldnt have been able to go without mine. I was given 24k AFTER the deadline, so for someone who's very talented they really try to make sure they help you out. I knew only one person who didnt get a scholarship who qualified. There were 10 kids the year I went who got a full ride (out of about 200 students)
I paid for college myself, with my scholarship, grants and loans. I'll be paying till I'm 31 but it's been worth it for me.
