Anyone every get a Westjet code? Wondering about flexibility.

Hello everyone. No Fl trips in sight (because the dollar SUCKS) but for a friendly group of Canadians who travel, you're always my pick.

I have been haunting the Westjet site dreaming about a trip to Europe this summer. This morning I got an email with a 10% off code. Only prob is, it doesn't cover my dates.

So, if anyone has had or knows of someone who has had a Westjet code, here are a couple of questions.

What are the chances a phone agent would say YES if I asked if they could apply the code on different dates?

Is this like those "Disney secret codes" that we occasionally get--once you get one, you'll probably get more?

I am in the "it can't hurt to try" camp and will probably call, but thought I'd ask here first.

I am fairly certain those codes (I got an email too and it does mention black out dates) are tied to specific dates and flights and I'd be surprised if one of the telephone agents would have the ability to override that.

But you are right, can't hurt to call - good luck.

The codes are tied to specific dates and I doubt they would allow you to apply it to any other dates besides whats included in the description. Call and ask, or comment on their facebook, they are super quick at getting back to you. We love westjet! we had a promo code for my husband to use towards his trip because his flight was cancelled (even though they rebooked him on another almost immediately and got him home the same day)
