Hi I am looking for a part time job but I imagine I get passed over alot based on the experience on my resume (worked on Wall Street). I have applied all over and never even get called. I am currently looking in all sort of fields I just want something part time like maybe 3 days a week. Anyway some people have told me about Hallmark merchandising but I was wondering how they are to work for and how flexible they are? Has anyone worked for them before?

I do merchandising for other companies. One of the other regulars I bump into on my rounds is the Hallmark merchandiser. I will be seeing her tomorrow so if you haven't received any other answers by then I will ask her about it for you.

She always seems really happy, though. lol. :thumbsup2

I have a friend who used to do this for another company and she really loved it.. :) She's a "people person" and really enjoyed the flexible schedule..

Thanks and if you have any other companies for merchandising that you would recommend that I look into that would be great! (NJ area)

I did this a few years ago. Really enjoyed it. The hours are usually flexible although the store you work at may have some restrictions. I was at a Party America store and they wanted me there at 9:00 when the store opened because that was their slowest time. You do have to work right before the holiday and the day after to change out the seasonal cards. I think it paid about $8.00-$9.00 per hour. I am in the Kansas City, MO area so I could shop at the corporate store. The discount was very nice.

:)I am interested in the answers as well, hope you dont mind me tagging along
