I am soooo missing my old refrigerator now that we've got the stainless one. All the kid's reminders and stuff are getting cluttered on the kitchen counter. There is a small wall by the kitchen telephone that would be perfect for this stuff. I'm thinking of using the magnetic paint primer and then repainting that area. If you've used it, does it make a difference in the paint color. I'd like for it to just blend in and look like a regular wall when nothing is on it. Also, does it work well - will it hold the magnets?

I put it in the basement for the kids (I also used the chalkboard paint in another area).

I would recommend several coats, leaving plenty of time to dry in between. It won't change the color of the paint, but you will see a difference - you can tell that the paint is thicker - "higher" - in that area. I ended up painting a fake wooden frame around it to make it look better.

Yes, do at least 2 or 3 coats. It didn't change the color of our paint at all!

We did it underneath a chalkboard paint in DDs room. We literally did like 5 or 6 coats and it's still not that strong. You need really strong magnets and light fronts- if the front is too heavy, it won't hold. But just keeping painting and test after you've done a few coats.
