My family and I are going to DW in April 2008 for the very and I am now doing the final touches. So... we're definitely flying out of Buffalo.. no brainer since looking on Southwest.com we would be saving $1200.00 but someone else told me to check priceline.com. Has anyone used this before? Since this is the first time ever using the Buffalo Airport, I'm kinda nervous about this. I just don't want anything to go wrong by trying to save a couple of bucks.

If you use priceline for flights you will require a US billing address.

You can us it for hotel and car rental with no problem.

I wouldn't use Priceline for flights anyway...although I didn't realize you couldn't have a CDN billing address for flights as I've only used it for car rentals (which worked out really well BTW). With Priceline you don't know what airline you will have, what connections, time between connections or even just the scheduled flight times. Travelling with 2 kids under 4 I can't imagine all of sudden being stuck with some ridiculous flight times.

DishGuy is right. Don't use Priceline.com for airline tickets, ESPECIALLY if you have small children. Generally, they take you on milk runs. I have done flight checks on Priceline. For example, I checked a flight that would normally take five hours but it was going to take me 20 hours if I went through Priceline. Yikes!!! I can't imagine going through 20 hours on a plane or waiting at an airport for a connection with my two kids, let alone waste precious vacation time doing that. The price difference was not even that much.

We only use Priceline for hotels, as that's where I get some real savings.

Thanks everyone for your help! I'm pretty sure I will buy tickets from Southwest.com when the times comes. From their website, looks like I can get an E-ticket so no problem with Cdn address right? or am I wrong?

Your always better to go through Southwest.com. Often other sites don't have the internet only prices that southwest has on their site. For example they have the $114 BUF-MCO on expedia, or Kayak, but if you go to southwest they'll have the $99 internet only seats. As well they don't care where you live at southwest, as long as your money is green. They love us Canadians at southwest!!

I've had very mixed success with Priceline. For car rentals - it's been perfect.

For hotel rooms -- well, let's put it this way - I'll never use it for a hotel room again.

Ever.

Period.

Especially in Orlando. (the comment in my SIG about ".. misguided off-sites.." specifically refers to a few of these experiences)

For flights? I wouldn't dare.

Wow, that's the opposite of my experience. We got the Gaylord Palms for $90 thru PL and it was great!

I find this site helpful when bidding on PL hotels:
Bidding For Travel
They list previous bids for the area, dates and levels that PL offers, so you have an idea of how much to bid and what hotel you're likely to receive.

I just booked four night through Priceline for my resort in Bonita Springs, since The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point is the only resort there I knew that I would get that one if accepted. The online price through Priceline was $225 a night and through the hotel directly with AAA was $145. I got my first night for $70 and the remaning three nights for $80.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Fantastic deal and will always try Priceline before I go just incase there is a better deal.
