Anyone ever use priceline or hotwire for rental cars?

We need a rental car in LA for our trip in July. DH and I are flying into LAX and meeting our kids and grandparents in LA.

I've been searching rentals and they are pricey or maybe I just think they are since I never rent cars.

$300.00 for 6 days.

Anyone ever use priceline or hotwire for rentals? I never have so it makes me nervous I will end up with something horrible, then I'm stuck.

I've used hotwire and never had a problem.

I do read over everything carefully because I like to rent from places that are in terminal only and not have to drive offsite to pick up or drop off a rental car.

I've started pricing one for September and so far hotwire has the best prices.

I used priceline once and they gave me a price for a suv, it was a great rate but after I booked it, they told me it was a mid size suv.I did not want anythning that small.I will use hotwire or carrentalsavers.com for a good deal.
