Anyone ever use an online background check service?

I am having a problem with my ex and child support. We are going to court Tuesday and I may lose 6 months worth of arrears due to him not reporting a job he had for 3 months prior to the one he has now. He of course won't tell me where he worked so I was thinking of using a background check service to get his employment history- I know he had to report it for tax purposes so the information should be somewhere. Has anyone ever used an online service and was it worth it?

have not used it -but i worked for social services for years. ask the court to look at what has been reported via social security, workman's comp and state taxation boards. under the table wages won't report to these, but most employers report to one or the other.

Asking the court will only help if they are working above board--in other words if they are working under the table for their uncle or something like that the state will have no clue because of not paying taxes

The background check will help more in cases like that because it will show balances on bills and cc info

You should contact SUPPORT KIDS---they do a very good job at locating dead beat dads because they will also get a copy of their credit report along with the info above and they have their own team of investigators which is paid to go hunting people down so your chances of getting paid are better
