It is going to be a very busy summer and I am afraid I am not going to be able to stalk the code boards like I usually do. Thinking of transfering my ressie to DU for safekeeping. This trip is very important for many reasons, and I cannot afford to miss out on AP rates. Anybody transferred existing ressies? Any feedback???? :confused3

I had the exact same thoughts - out of town a lot and afraid the next codes or free dining would sneak up on everyone like the last ones did - so . . .

I have begun the process of transferring my room only res. to Dreams Unlimited - it's been about a week since I started the process and we're now waiting on Disny to release the res to DU - so far, so good in terms of communication so I'm very hopeful that their watchful eyes will save us money in the long run -

Plus I get the impression I'm going to enjoy e-mailing back and forth with an agent to settle PS's, Cindrella reservations (hopefully), maye and Illumniations or Wishes cruise and some plans for DD's third birthday.

Can I transfer my package I just booked today to my travel agent? She is a good friend of mine. Woops - I never thought to have her do it???

I had transferred my last trip to Dream Come True Vacations when I realized how labour intensive sitting on the phone on hold with Disney was and making priority seatings was a foreign thing to me.
They were really good about it and the transition was seemless. Just faxed my letter to Guest Services and a couple days later, the agent followed up to say that the transfer was successful and we strated working on my itinerary.

A co-worker of mine transferred her ressie to Dream Come True Vacations for the same reason - they were able to get the AP rate for her on the day that they were released.

She said they would never do it herself again - she loves the service that the team at Dream Come True was able to provide for her.

Do you by chance work for Dream Come True Vacations? Almost every post seems like a commercial for that agency?? Just wondering..........

My neighbor owns and runs Dream Come True Vacations - I have made no secret of that fact. I also highly recommend DU and Small World - as do many of you - all are great agencies.

I make no money from recommending them - just trying to help out a neighbor, as he would be unable to post these type of responses himself, per the DIS's terms of service.

I am sure that my few posts here and there for Dream Come True Vacations are nothing compared to the scores of posts recommending DU.

I'm sorry, I just don't buy it. You're on this board all day every day. In my opinion, you are an employee of Dream Come True Vacations and you yourself are skirting the DIS's terms of service. IMO.

Ouch! You just called me a liar. No need for personal attacks please. They are also against the terms of service.

No personal attack - just astute observation and like I said, my personal opinion. I did not call you anything of the kind and would appreciate it if you would not put words in my mouth. Thanks....

My apologies - FYI - I am an internet marketing professional and computer analyst and not a travel agent for Dream Come True Vacations. I don't have the temperament or inclination for being a travel agent.

:rotfl2: - Perhaps I have a very odd sense of humor - but that really does sound like fancy speak for a internet based travel agent. Anyway - Good luck to you!

Rozzie, I transferred an existing reservation that I had for our April trip to Dreams, used Sue Ellen, who I have used for several other trips as well. It was extremely easy and painless :). All I had to do was compose a letter to WDW stating that I was turning my reservation number ########### over to Dreams and fax the letter to Dreams. They faxed it to WDW and a few days later everything was taken care of. Dreams will take care of your PS' for you and will also work to get any subsequent discounts that you are entitled to applied to your reservation. Sue Ellen also has given me tons of useful advice as well as providing me with detailed itineraries for our trips. It really does take the stress off of you. I have nothing but good things to say about everyone that I have dealt with at DU and have used them a total of three times this year so far. HTH. Oh yeah, here is my disclaimer, I don't work for Dreams or have any personal relationship with them. I have just been very happy with the trips taht they have planned for me. :)

It could also mean "specializes in spam mail" marketing and "virus creator mastermind". :rotfl:

Hey Fanoftink - I see you have 18 posts and more than half of then you're mentioning Small World Vacations? Do you work for them???
