I have used Princeline in the past and I usually get what I want. Howver we were looking for a place to stay 1 night prior to our Swan ressie. The Swan is booked up 12/30/03. The other Disney Properties are at holiday rate with no discounts. I did call the Swan to check and see what was available. So I bid for a resort on Priceline hoping for the best. Well I got the Marriot World Center. I would like some feedback if possible.

Yes, my friend stayed there (about 2 yrs ago) before they could get in with us at BWV. We went over there for breakfast which was nice. I questioned her about the rooms etc and she said it was all very nice, especially for the price! Lisa

I have stayed there at least twice on Priceline. I have also stayed twice on convention rates. There was no difference in my room or treatment.

VERY nice hotel, great pool area. It has a slide and a small quite pool. (I think the main pool has a waterfall).

The only thing I don't like is parking. Valet is fairly expensive. They charge you $5 or so to self park and that is FAR away.

This hotel is very near Holiday Inn Family Suites on the other side of the road. The road is not busy even for early entry. And is about 1 mile from the WDW gates!!

Marriot World Center has a great reputation on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board[http://disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=15]!! It is a priceline.com regular.

The Orlando World Center Marriott is a destination within a destination situated on 200 acres. The hotel is set in a lush tropical setting and offers 4 sparkling pools, including a 600,000 gallon free form lagoon-shaped pool with waterfalls and a waterslide, 2 children's pools, sand play area, 10 restaurants and lounges ranging from fine to casual dining, and 24-hour room service.

I hope this helps you to feel more comfortable with your priceline hotel!

We got two rooms two years ago christmas, great prices about 70.00 per night, and stayed for about 6 nights. It was very nice, great view of dtw fireworks. We didnt eat there at all so I couldnt help with that.

I have stayed there several times with a priceline bid and without priceline. The rooms were very nice. We really enjoyed the pool. They have a slide and waterfall. My daughter rates the pool very highly. They have a resturant Mikados is a Japanese Steakhouse was excellent and there is a sports bar called Champs which we went to and had a good time there too. Very good nachos Also yes they charge for parking but if you don't mind a little walk there was no charge for paking around towards the back I think it is called the north tower.

Hope that helps. Any other questions feel free to ask

I wish I had bid lower, but since it was holiday time I started at 90.00. My own fault. I am glad to see that it has such good review. I was hoping I could count on other DIS members. Have a great weekend.

Kathy,
The last time I was there they had blocked off the parking lot in the back unless you paid! They did have a FEW free parking spaces on the street, but they were full.
