Anyone ever stayed at Bonnet Creek Pres. suite?

I wonder what the direct purchase perks are vs. buying resale. We looked at this property a few years back and would love to stay in the presidential suite. We saw it and it is out of this world.
How would I find out about resale and how the system works? We own DVC but this would be a nice add on for the Orlando area or for trades if they have other places with such nice units.

I am a DVC owner also, and have considered buying into Bonnet Creek as an inexpensive weekend stay resort. I just Goggled, checked EBAY and TUG.

I think the main direct purchasers perk are an ability to bank points at any time and a better access to trading with outside services like RCI/II.

The only extra perks with a direct purchase are from owning a VIP amount of points - 300,000, 500,000, 1,000,000 - at each of these levels you get a few more perks.

The most valuble perks are the unit discounts, free upgrades, and unlimited housekeeping credits. For those at the Platinum VIP level (>1,000,000) you can book units within 60 days at 50% of the point value.

Anyone who owns enough points whether they are VIP or not have the same access to the presidential units.

VIPs do have a longer window to bank their points, but I think it's only 6 months (never banked so don't remember).

I'm VIP Platinum; however, I did this a few years back when there were more alternative ways to obtain VIP than buying all points directly from the developer. Many of these options are no longer available. It was also a joint purchase with other family members and we all travel on the account and we book most of the time within the 60 day window for discounts and upgrades. We own 1,067,000 points and can get about 15 weeks of vacation a year out of the points.

I too own DVC and always go to Bonnet Creek for part of our stay and always on Friday and Saturday.
