Anyone ever stayed at Amerihost Orlando???

My Brother got an offer to stay there for 5 nights for a total of $99. The catch is a timeshare tour of another property.

He was thinking this would be a cheap way to extend their Orlando visit because he is really good at saying NO to people so the timeshare tour would not be that bad for him.

The only thing he wants to know is if the property at Amerihost is clean and safe...If it's not, he'll just stay the week he had planned but if the place is nice, he would extend his visit by 5 days...

Please give me your honest opinion here. My DB has not been there since the eighties and he has 2 littles girls (4 and 7) and would love to give them a Mickey experience.

the only one I could find in AAA book was in Kissimmee not Orlando -
if the address is
7491 w Irlo Bronson Memorial HWY (sometimes US192)
then aaa gave it a 3 stars.

so I would expect it to be pretty good.

I stayed there WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in 1986 when it was a Wilson World. I actually have been wanting to stay there again!!! I'd say give it a shot, but I haven't been there in almost 20 years!

That's the one...I asked the woman who I called to check on this...She said Orlando.


She said she lived very near Orlando and goes there a lot so I asked where exactly is the resort...She said "I'm not quite sure..." I asked if it was on International, US192 or etc etc...She then said "I don't know US 192" so I said it's known as Irlo Bronson Blvd and she then said..."I never seen it and I'm not sure where it is." I asked " Have you ever gone to Kissimmee..."

When she said yes...and still did not know US192/Irlo Bronson and she lived 10 minutes from there...I figured I'm speaking to someone who either does not drive or is just plain blind and thought you guys would know better.

From my own google search, I came up with the Kissimmee property. I hope there are some more recent reviews. Weird thing is, staying at Orange Lake this year for 3 weeks, I must have driven past this place at least 30 times but I can't picture it...

Maybe it will come back to me..Old age is a pain at 31.

FWIW--It's one of the few hotels with an indoor pool.

If I remember correctly, if you're heading down 192 towards OL, it's on the right hand side not too far before Sherberth Rd.
