Anyone ever "Sneak" Into SAB?

We did.

We went to WDW for Spring Break one year - maybe two years ago - and our friends were staying at BCV. We were at VWL. We went over to SAB and the mom showed her room ID and got 4 towels and 4 wristbands for herself, her daughter, me, and my daughter. The man at the towel stand didn't ask for my room key - he just gave my friend the 4 towels, if I remember correctly. I might have said, "Oh, I don't need one - I'm not going to swim."

After reading on these boards how strict the security is over there, I made sure every one in our party had a room key. Then when we went to get towels and a wrist band, only one person had to show a room key and they gave wristbands to everyone in our party. So someone can easily slip in with friends staying at the resort. But knowing this board, I wouldn't recommend confessing to it. ;) I'd be too afraid the Dis police would jump out from behind your saved chairs, take away your refillable mug, and have you kicked out of the pool area.

We hopped there all the time back when it was legal. Now that it's not, I only go when I stay there.

BUT, I do always get my maximum allowed room cards, so if I want to have guests there, I can.

I'm amazed - I thought I'd be flamed to hell and back by now for 'fessing up.

As I said, I'm usually a rule follower extraordinaire - I don't know what came over me this time. Maybe it was because the other mom was so casual about it and my DIS morality rubbed up against my real life. What can I say? I caved to peer pressure.:rotfl:

I do know that the last time we were at WDW we had an ADR for breakfast at Chef Mickey's and I used valet parking through my DVC membership/DDE card - I never know which piece of paper allows me to use it where, so I just fan them all out and they pick - anyway, I got free valet parking for breakfast. I asked the guy if I should move my car after breakfast because we were going to the MK all day, and he said we were welcome to leave it in valet parking all day and night if we wanted to.

I just want to post a general reminder for everyone, so that this thread doesn't start to take a wrong turn at some point.

Threads detailing ways around Disney rules for pool hopping are not allowed. You are welcome to post your experiences about being allowed into a pool area with permission, but please do not ways to actually "sneak" into the area or ways to work around the rules that are in place.

Thanks.

Mods, please feel free to close this thread at any time. The point has clearly been made that not only do many non-BCV visitors frequent the pool, but there is clearly a lack of enforcement of the non-pool hopping policy. :goodvibes
