Anyone ever ship to resort prior to arrival?

I ran into someone that told me that she ships her things down to her resort a few days prior to her family's arrival. I've searched the Fedex site for some guidance on doing this and can't come up with any concrete information. I thought I'd use my own box and arrange for a pick up, but I don't want to pack up the box and find out it's $100 when the guy comes to get the box!

Has anyone done this? Do they have a flat rate shipping box or a flat rate/size?

Just got back from a quick trip to SSR (LOVED IT!!) and didn't want to have to pack a bunch of "consumable" goods in my suitcase. I packed up a box with babyfood, diapers, wipes, shampoo, etc. and mailed it to the resort via the Post Office. It was a medium size box and it was a little over $17.00 to mail it priority.

I called the "front desk" (call center) for SSR and asked how to address it to make it easier on the resort staff. This is what I was told:

Upon check-in there was a note on my reservation that I had a box waiting. It was delivered with my Magical Express luggage.

I mailed a box to SSR in July. It was large and quite heavy (45 lbs). If I remember it was somewhere around $25 to ship it via UPS. I thought it was well worth the money.

Most of the box was filled with items I wanted to leave in my new Owner's Locker.

Bell Services delivered it at the same time they delivered groceries from Garden Grocers.

We used FedEx to ship a big box of wedding stuff to WDW this spring and it was only $30 or so.

We also had two cases of Costco waters shipped - one to BCV and one to AKV with no problem. I'm going to ship stuff every trip from now on!

We used UPS this summer and it was in the villa when we got there. I even had it shipped back and Disney front desk handled it all for me. It was quite nice now to have to worry about having extra stuff to bring home in our suitcases since there is a charge for extra suitcases now.
