My sisters formed this bunko team and it meets once a month at different houses. I am a regular substitute and it seems like I have to sub every single month. There is this one lady who is a regular and I swear she cheats. She always ends up with the most wins for some reason. I think she is adding her score wrong, but it never fails that she wins a prize.

Anyone else play bunko?

My wife has been in a bunko group for several years now and has a wonderful time. The core group have become very close friends and have supported each other through some tough times and celebrated some good times together too.

Bunko night is loud and rowdy! They really cut loose! They lay out a great spread of food and do manage to go through a couple of bottles of wine during the night. Heck of a party!

They have a family bunko night each year where the hubbies and kids play also. It's always a lot of fun!

They have a couple of subs they keep close. Most months there is at leasat one regular who can't make it. They did have a bunko cheat in the group for a while too! They eventually eased her out. They also have a regular who has moved out of town. They've made a couple of trips to her new place and had their bunko night there and stayed over.

It's a great social occasion for my wife!

I haven't played in years, but used to play regularly while stationed in Germany. I have some real nice prizes from those games.

I love bunco! I sub a few times during the year in a friend's group. I also like to have a friends and family party once or twice a year.

::yes:: I remember my mom playing bunko with her friends when I was a kid, back in the 60's. They got so rowdy, I had to go into my room and close the door. I don't remember alcohol consumption, but since they all lived within walking (stumbling) distance, I suppose it was entirely possible. They always had a great time..

They used to all bring a gift in a brown grocery bag, which were all put into a back room. Then at a certain time the bags were all brought out and everyone got one. Is that part of bunko, too, or just their own little thing??

No, but my neighbor does. She loves it and has tried to get me to go. Unfortunately, it has always been at a time I couldnt' make it. Sounds like fun though.. confusing too! LOL

Bunko is big here. I haven't joined in the fun yet, but I have several friends who have. It's called drunko around here! The best part is some bunko groups take road trips (not drunk, mind you!) One group went to Disney!

My friend and I joke that we are going to start our own traveling Bunko group, and we don't even know how to play!:p

Our group started playing 9 years ago! I can't believe it's been that long. When we started out no one had kids and now we all do.

We have a lot of fun! :p I think we've gotten rid of all the cheaters! Our group is usually too busy talking and drinking to cheat!

One thing I find funny is how the rules vary between different groups! Every time we have a sub, they tell us that they learned with different rules.

I think a bunko group is a great way to keep in touch with friends! :wave2:

Years ago I was briefly part of a neighborhood bunco group. I loved getting togetehr with the ladies. But then at some point we would actually have to sit down and play bunco...BORING!

My sister belongs to a Bunco group and once in awhile I will sub for a regular. To me it's quite a boring game. I like a little stragedy!!!:teeth:

We play in a couples Bunco group in our neighborhood. Everyone brings a dish and lots of wine and beer. We have a great time. We don't play for prizes, we play for MONEY! It's so much fun to get together with our friends and neighbors.

Yep, I play Bunco. Been doing it for about 4 years now. We always take the summer off but we start back on the 17th of this month.

I belong to a Bunco group. We have the best time, Im really glad I joined the group.
For our group whoever has Bunco that month provides dinner and we do play for money as well.
