Anyone ever get a SWA "B" Boarding Pass?

I can't believe I did this...I had my days all screwed up and thought today was Wednesday (it's actually Thursday) and, yes, forgot to print my boarding passes until just a few moments ago. We both got B's.

Crap.

Can someone tell me what to expect? I'm sure there's a decent chance we won't sit together, but is there a chance we won't even be able to make the flight??

Have no fear! We printed out our passes for our return from WDW during February school vacation. We got on right at the 24 hour mark and still got B passes. We thought for sure that meant we'd never get seats together for the 5 of us. We made sure we were at the gate in plenty of time to be one of the first people in the B line, and had absolutely no problem getting seats together. This was even after they sat all pre-boarders (lots when you are flying from Orlando), and all A-pass people. I would jut be sure to get to the airport in plenty of time to be near the front of the B-line and you'll be fine! :thumbsup2

Hi, I have had "C" passes and gotten 2 seats together. As long as I sit with my 12-year old DS all is good. And we ALWAYS fly SWA!! Joan

My advice to you is get to the airport EARLY, SIT in the B line and you should have no problem getting 2 seats together.

Good previous advice- we have been in all three lines, and managed to sit together. Just be early in those lines, especially the "C" one. My hubbie and I switch/share spots in lines.

You should be OK
as a general rule this is the breakdown

A's 1-40

B's 41-80

C's 81>

When preboarders check-in if A's are avail they count as A's but thats not what happens all the time .

On our last trip home our family got C's (3) and we were still able to sit together (in the back of the plane).

The flight attendants were AWESOME, AWESOME, IMO. :thumbsup2 Having just gotten back from DC last night and ending up in the back (again, on US Air), I think that getting a back row seat is not such a bad thing service wise.

I will tell you one thing, however. I was TERIFFIED that the 3 of us would be split up prior to boarding.

We flew back from MCO on Southwest this past February. The plane was packed and a mother and daughter could not find seats together. The flight attendants got on the speaker and announced if someone would trade seats for the two that person would receive a complimentary drink. Someone did trade and everyone was happy.

:cheer2: :wave2: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

My sister and I had B passes for a connecting flight a few years ago. We had a VERY short layover and had to get our boarding passes at the gate when we got there, so we ended up the very last people in the B line. But the two of us easily got seats together, just behind the middle of the plane (could have been farther forward but didn't want to sit with some of the sketchy looking men that were sitting alone in the front). There were MANY seats still available together, although the majority were in the back of the plane. But having sat in the very last row on a flight last year, there's nothing wrong with the back

Why wouldn't you make the flight?

A B pass doesn't automatically mean your party will be split up into middle seats in Rows 4 and 27. You're going to be sitting together, but possibly in the rear of the plane.

DH and I got B passes last summer on a flight from BNA to DTW and nabbed the EXIT ROW seats!

OMG - You guys kill me! :lmao: Once, when we got the dreaded "C" passes we had to sit all the way in the back of the plane. :rotfl: The people who obsessed with getting "A"s did arrive in Orlando about 1/2 second before us though! :rotfl2: Another time when we had "A"s and got 2 "good seats" :thumbsup2 (whatever that means) a 300 pound smelly guy with a "C" ended up sitting with us! :sad2: So much for getting the coveted "A"s!
(Yeah, I know, I just can't stand being separated from my family for a couple of hours either.)

This is why I hate flying SWA. I hate the jockying to get a good seat and the mad scramble to get to the gate as early as possible. This time, I'm going for the fast pass" and flying American. I've got seat assignments for rows 6 &7 both ways. I'll be in & out while the SWA passengers are still looking around for the rest of their family!   :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Although I hate SWA's boarding system, I have not had a problem getting seats together with the B ticket. My suggestion is to get to the gate early and grab chair close to the B line. Line up early. You'll probably be center-back, barring the rare exception, but you'll be together.
