...from Priceline? Just curious. I keep trying and they keep denying my offers. My understanding is if you bid 25% less than the current rates you have a good chance of getting picked up on your offer. Just wondering if I should keep trying or give up...

:thanks:

I asked the same question before my last vacation and was told that two to one days before your trip your should try Priceline and may have the possibility of getting up to 40% off. I never tried as I got a very good rate from Dollar for a Ford Explorer. I think it was around $375 all in for two weeks. Of course this was last year. I would have a back up ressie somewhere and then always try to get a better deal through Pricline. Also look at Hotwire.com. I have friend that got a economy car for $9 a day.

Of course the taxes and fees (some of which are flat rates) were probibly at least that much per day!!

Well...it's good to know it has worked for some people. I will keep trying and remember to try a few days before our trip (becuz I'll have NOTHING to do those days! :teeth: )
