Has anyone ever flown with My Travel into Sandford. We have never flown with this airline before and this will be our first time flying into Sandford.
Are all the car hire companies on sight or will we have to get a shuttle or Taxi to collect our car? Are car hire is with Dollar.

We flown with airtours the last few times. Had a bit of a palava last time concerning us paying full price for our baby to have her own seat and then trying to take it off us with no refund. Otherwise flight was fine.

The door you come out off at Sanford is right at Dollar with Alamo close by.

We have flown with MyTravel into Sanford once last OCtober. The flight was fairly good - we were in PG though so not sure what it's like in economy :confused3

We really liked Sanford airport - it's much smaller but you haven't got the pick-up bags, drop-off bags, pick-up bags again hassle that you have at MCO. The car hire places are all on-site as far as I'm aware. Dollar definitely is :thumbsup2

MyTravel flights are good so long as you get a Mytravel plane. Seat back TVs, decent seat pitch in economy, well organised travel. We've gone with them twice from manchester and it's been fine.

The problems start if you go from a smaller airport and they sub-charter from Monarch. Tight seat pitch and central TVs. Monarch planes that we've gone on from Newcastle have all been dropping to bits.

A good tip is to do the Idrive check in for your return journey. They have a small office on Universal Boulevard just before Wet and Wild. You can check in there and drop your baggage for $10 pp then go and have your dinner at leisure and not rush about getting to the airport.

Sanford is there for British tourists. All car hire places are within walking distance, ie over the road from the terminal, and have enough staff on so there's never been a wait of more than a few minutes for us.

we flew with My Travel last year and apart from the 9 hour delay (which we were assured was not their fault!) it was ok. Just ok.

They gave us the usual £5 voucher for food but to be honest we were so tired by the time we got on the flight we weren't very tolerant :sad2:

Sanford was fine though, quick to get through and the car hire place is right outside the main doors. :thumbsup2
