We dined at Chefs in late June. The menu sounded wonderful! We loved the atmosphere and the service-although a tad rushed-was very good. Yet "food wise" it was a huge disappointment to us. :sad2: Just please remember-this is only our humble opinions!!

We like Chefs. I think the atmosphere is cheerful! The food is good, but not great. But, we've always had memorable and really FUN meals here. Enjoy!

We've eaten at Chef's and the meal was great. The service was good and pleasant. Love the dining room. Our food was yummy as well. The only thing I could complain about was the noise level.

We ate at Chefs de France a few years ago and enjoyed it. The food was good, but not anything special. Service was excellent and fast! I would eat here again. :)

Extremely crowded with very close tables, extremely noisy, some tasty appetizers, poor entrees, service that varies from hassled but nice, to extremely unpleasant. We won't go back. Also, these days I have no idea where you would eat in Epcot that would have fresh food made under the watchful eye of a good chef. You need to go to one of the signature restaurants at the resorts for that.

ITA with the entire post.

Chefs was probably our most disappointing meal at WDW ever. My mileage may vary because I was trained in French Cuisine and the World Showcase restaurants are very Americanized. I don't notice it so much in Morocco because I know nothing about cooking Moroccan food. But France is a glaring example to me.

If you are looking for Fine Dining, you need to leave the Parks & hit the Resort Restaurants. Park Fare is Park Fare, no matter how you slice it. For Fresh food prepared under the watchful eye of a good chef, try something like California Grill, Jiko or BlueZoo. That's where we go for Good Eats in WDW.

Our MO is Parks for Lunch, Resorts for Dinner.

We thought Chefs was good, not great. Crowdedness and noise level didn't bother us, we are in a WDW Park. Also, we were one of the first to be seated for dinner. It didn't get busy until we were almost done. I would go back, but not until I have tried all the other restaurants on property. Kona or Lecellier, I would go back to anyday.

We tried it for lunch in November. I had read some lukewarm reviews here, but wanted to give it a try. The food was okay, but not good enough that we'll be going back. The tuna sandwich at Columbia Harbor House was far better than the tuna sandwich I had at Chefs de France.

We really like Chefs. We ate there twice in January. Lunch one day and dinner the next. We have a dinner ADR at the end of this month.

Everyone has an opinion. It's hard to say. You may have to just try it for yourself.

For example, LeCellier gets absolutely RAVE reviews on this board and we thought it was just okay. I thought the atmosphere was a little dark and dreary and my family thought the food was fine - nothing special.

We ate dinner there in July and loved it. Our waiter was wonderful. It was his first week at the restaurant. Actually, it was his first week in the US. He was so sweet, couldn't have been more helpful or nicer. We had the filet of beef, which was wonderful, the macaroni and cheese, which was great, and the short ribs, which were just okay. We can't wait to go back

I agree wholeheartedly with the 'ok' reviews. Actually the Bistro (upstairs) is much much better dining/food.

We had lunch at Chefs in May - it was quite tasty. If you want to read a review and see some pictures click on the "Undelicious" link in my signature. I think the Chefs de France review is on page 10 of the thread. :goodvibes

I do Chefs for lunch every trip! Some visits have been better than others, but on the whole I have enjoyed all of them.

After family raving about CHefs, we tried it and found it to be the most disappointing restaurant meal we ever had at WDW (and that's a lot of meals). The service was not good (authentic snooty French waiters?) and the food mediocre at best. All in all not an experience I'd live to repeat.

with the mixed signals i feel like now i have to try it to chime in.... we have reservations @ cal grill, artest point, and shula's so theres 3 good places for sure this france is really a crap shoot!! and good thing im a gambler! thanks for helping me make my desicion you people on this board r the best!!
