How is it? How much should we expect to pay. It is 7 hours long, is it worth it?

We already did the Keys to the Kingdom, and I am looking for something different.

I have not done it, but I have read that the Backstage Magic Costs $199. Also, do think the Keys to the Kingdom was worth what you paid?

Have done Keys to the Kingdom with Rae, definitely worth it. We're thinking about the longer Backstage Magic Tour. Remember the discounts with Disney Visa, AAA, AP and DVC. HTH

We have done tour twice. It well worth it. It goes by sooooo fast. Before you know it, it is over. You get to go Central Shops, Costuming have a very good lunch at Mama Melrose's. You get taken on private bus. You taken behind the scences at Epcot, and Mk. You taken into utidoors SP?.
IUf you afford it, I totally recommend it. :cheer2:

Are you kidding? $200?

If you are a Disney fan and want to see how the "Magic" is done it's well worth the money. You get to see the workings of the American Pavillion and Body Wars and a ton of other areas throughout Epcot, MGM and MK.

It's worth it if you are a Disney nut. You can also have your questions answered with honest answers and not Disney-coated ones. A person in our group had a question that the guide couldn't answer (surprising, he was like a Disney World encyclopedia) so he made a call, asked the question. 5 minutes later he got a call back with the answer.

Take into consideration that the other tours require park admission, this one doesn't. By the time you figure ticket price, discount, and lunch, it's not as expensive as it seems.
If it's as good as the other tours that I have taken, it's very much worth it. :thumbsup2

Backstage Magic is a wonderful tour and worth every single penny. And it does last all of seven hours.

We did this tour in January. I believe the AAA or Annual passholder discount is 10% - 15% but the Disney Visa discount was 20%. We didn't need a park pass that day and lunch at Mama Melrose's was very nice. Our guide, Kris, was just wonderful. My husband is the Disney zealot and I like WDW well enough but don't consider my self a fanatic. I thought that 7 hours was going to be a bit of a stretch for my attention span but it went by remarkably quickly. We started with a behind-the-scenes look at the American Adventure and got to talk to an engineer that had been w/ WDW since before the first park opened. He was a man who is passionate about his job and that made it very interesting. The back of the the American Adventure was impressive. We had our first look at forced perspective there. We went to Cast Member services and I enjoyed seeing all of those uniforms.

We went to the Christmas decoration storage fascility and I really thought that was going to be lame but it was surprisingly neat because we could pretty well pick out where a particular decoration was from just by the theming.

We went to the shops where ride vehicles were designed, painted, etc.

We saw costume cutting & patterns at MGM.

We went to the Utilidors at MK and learned about Disney's garbage system...leave it to Disney, they even make a profit on that.

We saw the backs of buildings.

We saw the Share a Dream Come True parade and learned more about forced perspective.

We had many, many opportunities to ask questions.

It was a very nice day.

Once you've paid your $200 and you've done your tour, if you wanted to go in a park again that evening would you have to pay, or does your days tour cover admittance for the whole day?-just wondering whether to get a LOS ticket or a hopper :confused3
