Anyone ever deal with smartsubs.com? Good, bad, ugly?

I came across this website while I was on google looking for something. While the item I wanted usually sold for $75-100, this site offered it for $15 with free shipping but I had to enroll in a monthly subscription service. There are different online services like gamefly and rhapsody to name a few. They say that you can cancel the service after the 30 day trial.

When I googled smartsubs most of the reviews were really bad. Some never receieved their orders, no communication whatsoever, emails went unsanswered, stuff like that. Then I come across reviews that were stellar. Five stars, happy happy customers, quick shipping etc.

Has anyone here actually bought something and either liked the subcription service or cancelled it to get the item at the low price. What was your experience?

Never heard of it but if the price seems too good to be true it probably is.

I had never heard of them, but the BBB gives them an "F" with 33 complaints in just over a year. Personally, I wouldn't take the chance with my information based on the reviews I read.

I've ordered many times from smartscrubs.com over the past few years with no problems at all? This is the site for medical clothing, right? I've ordered clearance items, regular, etc. and had many a medical person ask where I got them from. I wear Hawaiian tops, unique ones with wolves/otters/dogs; a lot of color. The quality has been good and I never needed to contact customer service for anything.

Smartsubs.com (no "cr") offers low cost merchandise because the buyer agrees to trial subscriptions of different stuff. I didn't look into it too much after I saw the bad reviews, so I don't know too much about it.

I did a little looking and would not touch them with a ten foot pole.

The only phone number for them is a toll-free number. Their contact address a PO Box, and when I did a WHOIS? search I got a domain reseller located on the 110th floor of an office building.

If they showed a real street address and a real telephone number anywhere I would be more likely to believe them.

But I also did a Google Seach and, for example, PC World had multiple ratings for them, more than 50% gave them only a 1 out of 5 stars.
