Anyone ever counter the value of thier DDP?

Thank you all for responding. For me, I added what our budget dinning would be, since we are driving that meant the cost of grocery honey buns or McDonalds for breakfast, counter service at the parks and fast food at night (to be taken back to our room) and it added up to be very near the current cost of the DDP.

I then looked at the quality of food we'd eat on the DDP for the same out of pocket expense. It was a no brainer!

I'll take WGPs, Cali Grill, Boma, Rose & Crown, HDD, Tang Cafe etc...all day long over cold Little Debby's and McDonalds!

I loved the dining plan because I get tired of just eating CS meals all the time. For our budget, we couldn't afford TS without the DP. We went 2 years in a row and spent less money on the dining plan with TS meals than the trip without the DP just eating CS.

This is exactly what I was going to respond with. We saved about $700+ on DDP(6 people, 9 days).
That being said we definately would not have spent all that money OOP, but we got to eat a variety of good foods for what we would have spent on counter service the whole time there.(I added up counter service meals before I decided to get DDP and it was around the same price as the cost of DDP.) My kids had a great time being able to order whatever they wanted as this is not the case at home.
