Hi!

I was just wondering - after seeing a previous post regarding possible cabin availability for an upcoming cruise, has anyone ever switched cabins with a DIS poster for the same cruise? Examples for switching - location (same category different location/deck or handicapped vs. non-handicapped stateroom, etc..... and if yes, how was this done?

Thanks for satisfying my curiousity!

We have never switched with another "dis'er room" but we have switched cabins once on board. If there is availability you can switch cabins. But you will have to pay a price difference if you switch catagories, for example a cat 9 to a cat 6. It is cheaper to change on board then to switch now. The only down fall to waiting is there may not be any cabins to switch to.

Hope this helps alittle!

I took a RCCL cruise a while ago & was on the cruisecritic boards for that. There was a woman who must have booked late (she didn't say) and was desperate for a handicap room. She was looking to switch with someone just days before her trip (up to the time she was leaving for the airport). She said she would update the boards with the outcome when she returned, but I never saw the response. My question for her (that I didn't post) was: if they didn't have the cabin she NEEDED on that ship on that sailing, why was she going? RCCL has lots of ships/itineraries etc. She should have booked one with the right cabin for her needs.
