DH just called from his convention at CSR and said his company gets The Studios all to itself tonight from 7 - 10. Would they keep the whole park open or just sections? There will be about 3500 of them - I'm so jealous!

Anyone ever been to The Studios for a corporate event after hours??

Wow, that would be really great if they keep the whole park open. I'm sure it's probably limited attractions though. Either way how fun!!!!

I went to one of these events in Nov 2000. I would imagine each event is different but at the one I went to was awesome! When we first arrived, they had a huge buffet set up. Tables and tables of food - anything you could imagine lined up down the street. They had a live band playing for dancing after dinner. Select attractions were open - Tower of Terror, RockNRollercoaster, Muppets, and Star Tours. There may have been more, I can't remember. They had an open bar and free ice cream all night long and they had little tables and chairs with candles set up at various locations throughout the park. (I was pregnant, so I couldn't partake of the bar and the only attraction I could enjoy was Muppets but I still had a wonderful time!) Than after a few hours of rides we went into the Fantasmic theatre for a boring meeting  but our reward for putting up with that was a private showing of Fantasmic! I can't imagine how much $$$$ they put out for that event. And that was only 1 night of a 4-day event. :D

My friend just got back from a convention in December. They had a private showing of the Indiana Jones show, walked backstage, where they ate dinner on the set of the new Lights, Motors, Action set. He mentioned that they went through the Osbourne Lights as well, but I didn't even think to ask if the park was still open.

Wow this sounds exciting. My dh is going to a conference end of nov. at the swan with like 4,000 plus people, so I am hoping they do something like this. Are the tickets for conference attendees only, or guests. I am hoping dhs friends will give us their tickets as I am sure they will probably head over to pleasure island and drink the night away or go to jellyrolls etc.

Last year my company held their national conference in Orlando and we were given the opportunity to buy WDW tickets for our family. The main difference was that they had an expiration date.

Unfortunatley his conference was for employees only - no spouses! Now that I see how much money they are throwing into the thing I can see why!

They are leaving for The Studios in about 10 minutes...he's supposed to be calling me with updates so I'll let you know what they are doing...

It will be fun to hear your updates!! :earboy2:

I just heard from him - he said they are having a blast. They set them up in the rear of the park around 7 with food, drinks, etc (he said the food was incredible) then after the park was cleared out they let them in the area by RnRC and Tot...they have that area and those attractions all to themselves. Not sure if they will get a private Fantasmic showing or not but the big cheese himself ( ::MickeyMo ) is walking around for photo ops...
