Anyone ever ask for a room upgrade?

We are Staying at the Lake Buena Vista Palace March 3-10th 2007. I am wondering about asking for a room upgrade when we get there. Have any of the DIS members been successful in this venture. If so please share your tips,tricks, and experiences.
