Anyone else........

:thumbsup2 Yes and I think I'll be up forever!!!! NONE of my children are asleep!!!

I have to go to work tomorrow from 7 - 4 and then we are having company for dinner at 6:30 and they usually stay until about 8 or 9 pm...so basically I want to get wrapping done TONIGHT (just to make sure I have everything).

That way if I DO have to do a scramble, I can do it on my lunch break or right before coming home but no way can I do it if I'm wrapping the presents late at night on the 24th. :lmao:

Of course, I suppose I could just go in my room and shut the door but these youngsters aren't even CLOSE to being asleep yet (since I can hear them still TALKING to each other (I have 2 that share a room)...at least it would be nice if they were drowsy.

Not tonight. But I'll be doing it tomorrow night. Wouldn't be Christmas unless I was up to 3am on Christmas Eve.

I always wait until the last minute to wrap the gifts. And I swear every year that I'm going to start earlier. Guess I'll try next year.

I probably won't start until later tonight and will have to finish tomorrow. My 4 yo is a night owl, so I'll ahve to wait a while before I can even take things out of hiding.

I always say I am going to wrap early and only one time did I ever do it. It was so nice to be done. Of course I think it just isn't Christmas if I am not wrapping like I work in a sweatshop.;) I want to finish it all tonight and I haven't even started. I wish Santa would send some elves to help me. Instead of all the Elves on a Shelf he should tell them to get off their butts and help out the Moms!:cutie:

I just couldn't do it this year. (DD18 and DS15) so I wrapped the last few days, finished tonight and put them under the tree. My kids looked at me with these puppy dog eyes. I felt horrible, but DH just falls asleep way too early and I can't do it all.

I will be there in "Spirit" with all you Santa helpers.

I think mine have finally settled down some....at least enough that I can maybe sneak into my room at least and close the door, etc...

By the way, reading another post...do you all put the presents out after you wrap them or wait until they are asleep Christmas Eve?

The last few years basically we have NOTHING under our tree and then Christmas Eve after they all go to sleep, the packages appear. We didn't originally do that but started a few years ago & it has stuck. Makes it less tempting for little grubby hands to attempt to figure out packages (and end up ripping paper in the process).

So, I'll wrap tonight and then stick them back into hiding spots!!! :lmao: At least I'll know what I have though.

Kiddos went to bed and we were able to finish up. However, this year, much is under the tree already. The only special gifts left were two big ones daddy put together and chose not to wrap and stocking stuffers that I wrap.

Due to weather,'our Christmas plans may be altered, some had to finish up tonight.

Can't wait--we are very excited for Christmas morning!:cheer2:

None of the kids' gifts go under the tree until after they fall asleep on Christmas Eve. My parents always did it that way and that is one tradition I've carried on.

They will put out the gifts that they've bought each other and the ones for other family members that we have wrapped already.

OMG I've been at this for 1 1/2 hours and STILL not close to done! I cannot believe all the stuff I bought! I have two girls, one 2 and one 7. I have so many stocking stuffers they won't fit in the stocking. I have to wrap some as presents. They will basically be unwrapping gifts all day. I have taken two gifts I bought from FAO Schwartz and will return them because I just bought too much for the kids.

I blame being a busy, STRESSED, frazzled mom and not knowing what I bought from one day to the next.

I started with wine and wrapping, now I'm on coffee!!!!

Same here but my kids unwrap two gifts on xmas eve: pjs and a game.

No, I'm a spaz, and we have a detached garage!!! The last couple of nights, after dinner, I've sneaked over there and am finished. Although, OP I only have 2 kids. If I had 5 I'd still be wrapping on the 26th, LOL!!!

I'm almost done. I thought the kids were in bed but after I pulled out the last few gifts DS came out a few times as did DD. Cue me frantically throwing pillows & whatever else over the wrapped stuff.

As for when to put it out, I put things out as they're wrapped. I don't have the attention span to wrap more than a few at a time so stuff gets put under the tree in little spurts. Every day the kids run out to see what else has arrived.

That was us for the last handful of years. We were up so late, 3 am sounds about right. I would get grumpy and tired while wrapping. And was in a coffee hazy on Christmas morning. The grumps would be gone, seeing the kids so happy and excited. But I would be incredibly tired. There were many long Christmas days, tired, with guests coming by and staying until 10 pm or longer at night.

We just finished 99% of the wrapping. Yea!

Now I have time frantically cook and clean. :upsidedow I do love Christmas. :) :santa: Lots to do, but I do love it!

We *just* finished! Whew!!! But it is *all* done. (One year I was up until 4am Christmas morning. I will *never* do that again!)

Bring on Christmas!

Santa doesn't visit until Christmas Eve so no presents under our tree.:cutie: I am going to be up so late tonight. Hopefully it will go really fast. At least I cleaned most of the house today so that won't take long to finish up tomorrow.

DH and I just finished all of the wrapping. We were lucky that DD went off to sleep with no interruptions, no complaints, no negotiating etc.

I think we went way overboard but as always I am so excited to see everyone's reactions to their presents.

I wrapped most of DDs presents while she was in the room. She was playin Epic Mickey and not paying attention to what I was doing.

this is me too!!

I still have wrapping to do, I got up at 5:30 am this morning to wrap, and they woke up before I had my first cup of coffee in me.
Its like they have some kind of radar the past week. I can't find a minute to wrap, LOL
well we have to head over to BJ's for some stuff for tonight, I am hoping when we get back I can finish somehow.:rotfl:
