Is anyone else doing the Walk for Autism Research(Autism Speak)?

I am doing it tomorrow- North Texas- So I will let you know how it goes.

I am shocked that I have raised $500 for this walk. Thanks in part to the people that my husband works with. Since I dont work and can only ask family members.

Just wondering if I was the only one

I had not heard of it before this.
Cool that you got such a good amount of pledges! :thumbsup2

Congratulations. I have never heard of this either. I am going to check in our area to see if there is one.

We've done it here in Baltimore for the past two years. It truly warms my heart to see so many friends and family come out to support my little guys!

My brother started our team in our hometown's walk right after my boys were dx. He wanted to do something (anything) to help us, but lived several hours away. So this was the best way he knew to help us. He kept asking me for a name for our team. Since we have triplets and the boys are identical, I kept thinking along those lines, but couldn't come up with anything good. Well, he decided the name "Fighting Irish". It couldn't fit us better. We are huge Notre Dame fans, of course Irish, and fighting for a cure!

BTW, one of my sons joined our local soccer team this fall. He and his sister are on the green team...and their team name is FIGHTING IRISH!!

Good luck on your walk!
