Anyone else worried about the new Pirates?

When we rode it in May , they opened around the times they were doing Grad Nights. There were no visiable changes to the ride at that time.

Guess we will see when it opens in a few weeks.

I am a little excited for the little face lift. I had watched a behind the scenes special on the renovation and they really didn't mention any HUGE changes. Just a few things added to the scenes (ex. Jack Sparrow) and new treasure to resemble the treasure in the movie. I can't wait to see it.

And I will be there for the opening on the 7th, so I will post and let everyone know!!

I remain hopefuly. They realize that this is a classic ride. I just hope that they didn't really change the music or made any major changes to it. I love the yo ho yo ho song.

Did you notice the part about a (reportedly very good match to JD) Jack Sparrow face character being out in the parks?!! He will be a must-find for DNeph (OK, for me, too ) on our DL trip !!
Can't wait to ride POTC in DL - 7 minutes longer than WDW version and all the movie props added - Wow! - I'm going to work this into the plan for every day!

"Not being commercial"? Are you kidding me?! Disney IS commercial! They do commercial best. Capitalism and commercialism are synomonous with Disney.

I obviously meant turning it into the MOVIE. The way it is now (before this "upgrade") is the way it's been since I was a little child and changing it into the Movie, with the movies characters and "product" is what I meant!!!! I would think everyone knew that!!!

I'm actually a LOT more excited about the changes to the ride after reading the preview, seeing that they are bringing back some sections of the ride that were removed. Though I do have to say that I was hoping the Black Pearl would make an appearance.

Add another "character flirt" to the list, I love joking around with the male face characters (especially Herc! and all family friendly, I promise you!) and if Jack is going to be there during November I'll wait for hours to see him!

The Theme Park attractions are mostly made up from movies...Cinderella's Castle, Splash Mountain, Space Ranger Spin, etc... We can't wait for the changes. We will be there in August to check it out. The only thing I hope is that I still hear a little "yo ho yo ho...".

Any new news on the opening? I keep reading different reports. Are they opening it on July 1st or 7th?????

We'll miss it if it is on the 7th.
