Anyone else with ressies tempted to switch to free dining?

Just curious if I'm alone in my temptation! We have ressies for early December, and today I called my husband at work and parents (who are coming with us) to see if they'd be willing to go in late Aug. instead (Sept. is not possible for us). It's a no go! We'd save approx. $1300, and even that didn't sway my husband!

I'd rather save $$ and go earlier in the year, but my mom is a HUGE wuss about the heat (we're in rainy, chilly Oregon), and my husband is a HUGE wuss about crowds (see why we're going in early Dec?!). So I guess the $1300 is worth no whining!

Anyone else considering a date change?

To look on the bright side of things, think about all of the Christmas decorations that you'll get to see that wouldn't be up in August!

I am very tempted. I would only switch for $$ reasons.

We are going early December also. DH says just keep the same dates. I LOVE Disney at Christmas and I also like the cooler weather. I have never been in September but I have in August and October and I about died of the heat. So I am a little relieved DH said don't switch. Its driving me crazy though that we will miss the free dining.

We debated that too. Not only would be save with the free dining, but we'd also be going before my ds turns 3. I'm a big wuss about heat though. I was thinking maybe the last week of September, but we'd have to stay in a value or mod, even with the savings. (My brother borrowed $1500 and won't be paying us back until late October. That's a big chunk of vacation money.) Plus I take online classes, so I'd be lugging a laptop and doing classwork on vacation. Dec. won for us. I'm still hoping for either an extension on the dining or some good AP rates.
