anyone else with good in-laws?

My MIL and I are very close. She thinks I'm the best thing that ever happened to her DS. I actually think he's the best thing that ever happened to me. I'm not so close to FIL, he's a bit intimidating, but his wife is a dear. All 3 of them are kind, generous and don't meddle in our business. I couldn't have asked for better in laws.

My inlaws have become wonderful in recent years....but were somewhat difficult to deal with in the early years of our marriage. I bit my tongue most of the time I was around them....I found my mil especially cutting....It is so funny...a couple of years ago she told me that a group of ladies at bingo were complaining about their dil's...she said, I told them my dil (me) and I have never had a cross word.....I about fell off my chair....My dh chuckled and I know he was hoping I wouldnt say something sarcastic....but I touched her hand and said, yep that is right....
I know without a doubt that I could call them right now and tell them I needed them and they would be here as fast as SW airlines could get them here. ....(they live 1200 miles away)....So I would say that we have a good relationship....now 30yrs later.
