Anyone else with a Disney-named child?

My niece is named Nyla, from the Lion King.

My dear GD who was a WDW souvenier was named Melody (Ariel & Prince Erics DD)

We almost named my youngest Briar Rose(Sleeping Beauty), but went with Brennyn instead...I just couldn't get DH to agree to it.

We have 2 cats....one is Simba and the other Nemo(My oldest DD's favorite Disney movie).

My DD is Hailey. My mom was with us at our ultrasound. Soon as the tech said we were having a girl DH said "Hello Hailey". My said "just like Hayley Mills I love it."

I'm not sure if this counts but my 16 year-old son Keenan was named after Disney actor Keenan Wynn who appeared in "The Absent Minded Professor", "Herbie Rides Again" and "The Shaggy DA.
Keenan Wynn's father Ed Wynn provided the voice of the Mad Hatter in "Alice in Wonderland" and he was probably best known as Uncle Albert in "Mary Poppins".
I knew our first baby was going to be a boy and I actually chose the name Keenan while reading the credits on the back of the video of "The Absent Minded Professor". I remember it so well, I was 6 months pregnant sitting on the couch. I read the back of the video box and shouted to my husband KEENAN that's it we are naming the baby Keenan. The rest they say is history. My Keenan has been brought up with all things Disney. I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

My mom's name is Bambi, but she wasn't named after Disney. My grandma said she had white spots on her face when she was born so that's the name she chose. You should hear her last name...people think I'm joking when I mention my moms name LOL.

My nephew and his wife named their DD Aurora Belle. I put it down to the fact that they were teenage parents that lived 30 minutes from WDW. They claimed they had no idea that they named their DD after 2 princesses.

I'm a child welfare worker and I ran across a Dizney (yes, with a Z) a few months ago. She was a little girl. Of course my office wanted to say I had a hand in that!!!

DS is not named after a Disney character, but I have called him "my little Pooh" since he was in the womb!! BTW, he would die a thousands deaths if I EVER called him that in public!!!!

One of our Beagles is Belle. She came to us as Sophie, but we had to change her name because she cringed every time we said it. Ben already had his name when he came to us and he wasn't answering to anything else!!!

Oh yeah, just remembered that I went to school with someone whose first name was Christopher and the middle Robin. Needless to say this wasn't spread around too much!

It is Nala.

Although there is an Egyptian name which could be spelt 'Nyla' (pronounced 'n-eye-lah').

But yeah - Simba's best friend/ is Nala.

My dh was named after after the Davy Crockett Character. My mother in law said she used to sit on the bed while pregnant with him in 1954, watching the Disney show and said she was going to name this son David. She also said she used to put her fingers in her cheeks so he would have dimples and he does. On of my best friends is named Bambi and she actuall operates a animal rescue facility.
