Anyone else watching The Bachelor? (POSSIBLE SPOILER!)

Actually Dan, I think everyone is "tested" beforehand. See? It's a very respectful, responsible show.

Yup, AND the fact that she allowed herself to be used like that. MAN, if her shotgun Daddy didn't convince her that love doesn't exist and that all men are creeps, she sure has another nail in that coffin....

BTW, I have to admit that last night's show was the most believable since the first fake rose ceremony!

I knew Tara was history from when Jesse told his mother about Tara's father and the shotgun. That mother -- ugh, what a pill! You could tell she thought of herself superior to Tara and Tara's family. And was she insinuating that Tara was a lesbian? The way she said she didn't think Tara liked boys in general made me and DH feel like that was where she was going. The mother and "best friend" Jenny totally sold Tara out.

That being said, I agree with those who said Tara really is the WINNER in this case. Jesse is just a big dud. He's living breathing proof that good looks aren't everything. I predict that his relationship w/Jessica has already ended.

I only watched last nights show and just thought the whole thing was dumb. Even my girls were asking how he could be like that with 2 girls at the same time. He looks like a player to me...I feel sorry for Jessica. I also thought his Mom's comments about tara and boys were very unappropriate.

I agree Snoopy, Jesse's mom does *not* seem like good MIL material. She's not very likeable...but, like her son, she likes herself enough for all of us. :p

LScot........... when did he say that he had slept with 3 of the girls? I totally missed that!

I agree, Snoopy. Tara was the winner last night. Do you think she may be the next bachelorette? Please...not Trish!

now, I totally believe she was positioned there, but did anybody else think seeing Jessica looking out the window from below looked like the witch looking out the window at DL's castle? Its been years since I was there, but I couldn't help but make the comparison.

This is NOT to say Jessica is a witch, mind you!

Did anyone else think that Jesse's nasty mother bore a striking resemblence to Trish?

I'm really glad this season is over.

I was actually yelling at the TV last night. Did he really expect his family and friends to tell him who to propose to? He seemed so immature and nowhere near ready to make a lifetime commitment to ANYONE. I thought it was so lame when on one day he is "in love" with 2 girls and the next day, like a lightening bolt from the sky, it comes to him who he should be with.

As far as Jessica watching the goodbye from the upstairs window, that was just plain bizarre. Why on earth would he ask her to GO UPSTAIRS and wait for him unless it was for her to have a perfect view from the window? If you were asking someone to wait for you in your house, wouldn't they normally wait in the living room? Of course she wouldn't have been able to see the grotto from downstairs, nor would we be able to see her looking down on Jesse and Tara if she were downstairs. ABC is becoming more and more like FOX everyday.

I do have to commend Jesse though for having the good sense to not propose. He is nowhere near ready for marriage. I saw him on The View yesterday and the ladies were asking him if this was real or if we were going to hear about them being broken up in the next few weeks. He kind of skirted around that question and just made some lame comment about how hard it's been to not see each other, blah, blah blah. I'll bet the relationship is already over. On previous interviews he always referred to the woman he picked as "the missus". He didn't do that yesterday...

:rotfl:  :rotfl:

Yup! There going to cast married men & throw in a few married women (for flavor) and rename the show:

THE MISTRESS! puckerup:

Someone asked where I heard Jesse say he'd slept with three women.

It was during an interview and I can't remember who it was with...I keep thinking Larry King:confused: but am not sure. It was with a man though.

The topic came up and he said he'd been with three women (but he didn't name names:rolleyes:) and they kinda laughed and said,"But Bachelor Bob still holds the record with ___." I didn't hear the number clearly.

Oh and even though it ain't REALLY funny, "The Mistress" did make me giggle!

Oh boy, Jesse's family was soo not likable, especially the mom. You could tell that she did not like Tara from the beginning and that puss she had on her face during the whole time she was there was too much.

I have to say that I only caught one or two of the first episodes of this season before watching last night's show so this was really my first impressions of the 2 last girls. I have to agree with Jesse's dad about Jessica. It didn't seem like she had much of a personality and the dinner conversation was very stiff. Plus, I don't know if it was just me, but she seemed to have a little "valley girl" way of speaking (to use an old 80's reference) that would drive me up the wall after 10 mins!

I think that Jesse took what his mom and his friend said and ran with that. I am glad he did not propose though.

Oh Snoopy...you hit the nail on the head with that one!::yes:: I looked over to my DD and said "there's Trish only a few years older!";) After seeing mom, I really think Trish and her would of hit it off. Wouldn't that be a family setting!!!:teeth: They could all discuss how great they are!!

Wendy - LOL! Great minds think alike, is all I can say. I was picturing a perfect fit for Trish and that family as well! :p

Reading this thread is funny. I guess I was just being naive because I didn't think they really slept together. I would have never (on National TV) excepted a mans invitation to spend the night with him. It seems like (on National TV) he would have respected the one who decline and left more to his imagination.

Again, Do you all really think they went all the way. I hope not. Especially since they both knew (without a doubt) that another girl was involved. I would have never slept with a guy that wasn't possitive about me. Because I thought Tara was the one who made a fool of herself (but glad she called Jesse on his behavior). Why would you do whatever with me and not pick me.

And because I'm a little caddy, I would have said (so there would not have been no doubt in the peoples mind) - "you slept with me last night, but you didn't pick me." Talk about must see TV!!!

I'm looking forward to next week when all the girls get together because I'm sure someone will ask about the "inappropriate" behavior!!!

NBC should have had Jesse on a see-saw last nite.

One minute he was going to propose, then they show him saying he might not propose, it will be a last moments decision.

I think Tara knew she was getting dumped. She actually told Jesse she was having bad feelings all day. I'm glad she let him have it and told him what he said or did was inappropriate. Jesse looked at her like a deer caught in head lights. And then his little comment that he never knew she had these feelings.

The bachelor should change the ending and forget about the engagement part. (No couple has stayed together from the bachelor), the odds are not there.

Did anyone else find it ironic that everyone was so concerned about Jessica's immaturity? I mean, Jesse is a case of immaturity if I ever saw one! He's not exactly mature when it comes to girls. I think he and Jessica deserve each other. Or then again, maybe she's too mature for him!

As far as his "which one am I going to pick, I care for them both" ramblings, lets not forget he HAS to say that! He is not allowed to even hint to the girls what he is really feeling and has to make it seem like he has no clue who will "win." Same goes for why he had to "buy" a ring, the show makes him do that.

I have no clue if this will work out, only time will tell as they can just now start "dating." I also may be naive in thinking he did not have sex with any of them.
