I think Emily was abused by her foster father/family. That is why she burned their house down. Realistically I don't think her foster-brother would recognize her. She looks completely different with blond hair and designer clothes. But I'm sure the writer's will ignore that.

This is my worry also! I love their friendship, it is one of my favorites parts of the show.

She's probably trying to figure out what agency or whatever the nuns uses for the adopted children. Possibly even try to find the exact paperwork for Victoria's son.

I couldn't tell if the visit from Emily was in the past or if it's the present. Maybe I'll rewatch.

I am glad he didn't die, I like him but I totally get what you mean about not trusting him. I feel like he is going to stab Emily in the back at some point. And he may have done just that at the end of the episode.

It seems like Takeda (sp?) had a secret too that Emily isn't aware of. I guess it is better he is still around, more drama!
