Anyone Else Watch The Travel Channel Who Can't Go Over The Holidays

Anyone one else catch Christmas at Disneyworld. It was a great show. Since we did not get down this year to see the Christmas decorations it was an excellent show. On again tonight, 12/20, at midnight eastern time. Was on at noon and I taped it. Don't miss it.

Three times and have it on tape. I am so sad I can't go this year. DS did early decision for the Citadel next year. Got to pay for it. Got buy those uniforms, ect. Maybe someday....

200+ channels and no travel channel...can you believe it!

I guess I'll just have to wait impatiently for the real thing.

We watched the tape this morning. We have been down twice in early December to take in the Christmas spirit. I'm really bummed because DS is now in 6th grade and we don't want to take him out of school any more. He is in an advanced program and he had a hard time catching up when he missed 3 days in 2001. Although he loves WDW, even he doesn't want to miss school! And I can't get off (and the parks are too crowded) during his Christmas break.

It looks like it might be some time before we get to back during the Christmas season.

Yes, we watched it, and we're sure glad we're going in Feb. to ride MS! It was hard enough to watch as it was, remembering how beautiful it was during our one Christmas trip a couple of years ago. If we hadn't had a trip planned, we would never have made it through the whole show....

We watched it too, knowing we would not be able to go this year. It was a great show! We always like to see the different gingerbread houses at the resorts.

I taped it also. We are planning our next trip for the first week of December 2004 - can't wait. Also, we are going to take 3 nieces and nephews who have never been there so we thought it would be great for them to see it decorated for Christmas on their first trip. Will be watching the tape with them on Christmas morning when they find out they are going to WDW.

What's the name of the show that's going to feature Disney because I can't come find anything on the travel channel for Sat 12/20, so I used my search button and found many shows that will feature Disneyworld and DisneyLand over the next week.

Here is the list of what I did find on my Dish Satelite PVR. All of these times are in Central time and as you'll read vary by the dates:

TUESDAY DEC 23 The Travel channel (ALMOST ALL DAY) will feature many shows with Disney as their feature the show "Great hotels" (will feature the hotels the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts) Repeats this same show at 1pm, Sun. 12/28 @9am

on Tues 12/23 at 8:30 am , and at 10:30 (same day and same show name) they will feature Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. Repeats at 3:30pm. Repeats at 10pm On the Travel Channel

On Tuesday 12/23 7:00 pm the Travel channel show "Secrets" will feature WDW Holidays with Samatha Brown. Is that the show you all are talking about? repeats 12/25 11am-12noon & 8pm, 11pm-12midnight, 12/27 @ 1pm, 12/28 @1am

Tuesday 12/23 8:00 pm "Secrets" is featuring Disney Animal Kingdom. repeats at 11pm, 12/27 @2pm

Wed 12/24 9:00 - 10:00am a show named, "World's Best" will feature Disney's Cruise Ship: Olympia Voyager, Crystal Symphony, and Disney Wonder.

Thursday 12/25 10am - 12 noon Disney's World Christmas Day Parade (It is chan. 30 (KDNL) for St. Louis, MO) check your local listing because I think that's a Fox channel for me.

Thursday 12/25 9pm -10pm Travel Channel: Disney Cruise Line
(Description: engine control-room; provisioning areas: Broadway-style theater; palatial suite) repeats 12/26 @ 12 am - 1am.

Fri. 12/26 The Science channel (channel 193 if you have Dish Sat.) 6pm They will feature Disney Tower of Terror ride. Repeats Sat. 12/27 @ 2 am, and 12/28 @ 10:30am

Sat. 12/27 @ 10am - 11am The Travel Channel will have a show called, "Disney's Imagineers" (Description: The process of creating Walt Disney World.)

Sat. 12/27 @ 11am - 12noon The travel Channel will have a show called "WDW Resorts:Scenes" will feature all of WDW's resorts. I must see this one!!!!!!

I'm sure the show you all are referring to is in here somewhere. Hope this helps. I'm going to record many of them on my PVR, cause this week I'm really going to be busy for me.

It's Hollidays with Samantha Brown. What a great show! I have friends that left today for the world and this is the first year in the past two that I haven't visited over the Holiday season and was feeling a little envious. This helped a little bit but I would still rather be there.

Thanks for the list of upcoming shows. I have the 23rd marked now for an all day viewing fest!

We always go down in December, even if just for the weekend. We were just there the weekend of Dec. 5th. It is truly a great place to be around the holidays.

My fiancée and I have decided that we'll have to take a trip some early December to see it all in person. It looks beautiful!

I did, the first time I saw it I cried, we were supposed to go this time of the year but my DH couldn't get it off so we had to go for Halloween. When it was on this last time I told my DH that it was my fantasy vacation. Silly to some, a dream to me!

What a great show! Unfortunately we won't be traveling to WDW during the holidays until DH retires from the snowplowing business-a loooong time from now. Guess I'll just have to keep watching the holiday shows
