I've only seen 2 or 3 of them, but they are quick addicting. I like to see how they completely transform the house. Being a packrat I find myself saying -- but what do they do with all the stuff the people had -- I guess they must pack everything up and store it while they are working.

I think a lot of stuff they get rid of also. I've only seen one show and it's amazing what they can do in a short period of time!

CourtasanSatine, Ty is the main reaon for me too in watching the show. I don't have cable---but, I used to watch him on Trading Spaces. Just because I'm married , it doesn't mean I'm dead;) . Hubby does not mind me watching Ty.

I wish I could be on that show. Not only does my house need a makeover, but I would love to have an all-expense paid trip to Disney World :)

You can tell the little girls' room was like sponsored by Disney. They had like the whole Princess collection in there.

I saw it! I LOVED the dad! He was SO excited, even his duaghter looked at him like, 'DAD, CALM DOWN" when he saw LeAnne Rhimes..:teeth: I just love living vicariously thru these type of shows. Then again, I subscribe to Professional Builder magazine. I have only seen 2 episodes...last night and the one with the family of the little girl who battled cancer. I cried at the end of each one. DH just looks at me and says, you know the gift tax they are going to have to pay on all that? Ever the passionate soul  I used to work in Sears corporate office and this showwill be a big boost for them...sponsoring it and all. Did anyone else notice the WDW electronics in the girls room?:earsgirl: :Pinkbounc :earsgirl: :Pinkbounc !

I had never seen it before last night. Incredible! I loved when the dad cried in the music studio. What a sweetheart! And then to see LeeAnn get caught up and cry too, I was sobbing.

Of course, I might have been sobbing at the thought of having a houseful of Thomasville furniture!!! Gorgeous!!! My formal LR and DR are Thomasville and I would LOVE to do a bedroom and family room, too!!! And I LOVED the Disney princess electronics and the dressing room.

I watched last night for the first time. DH had a funny point at the end of the show.....he thought the neighbors might be looking at the family's house now and thinking "Oh great, now my house looks like scum!" :p

I LOVE this show! I find myself crying at the end of every single episode. The episode with the dad coming home from Iraq as a surprise was the biggest tear jerker for sure! I can't wait to see this Sunday's episode--my TiVo says it's a family with 4 kids and the mom is expecting triplets. :earseek:

My DH and I sat around our little rancher last night - and sighed - we would never be that GOOD to even be in the running to be chosen - the folks who win are truly deserving!! I've seen the solider returning from Iraq, the single social worker with three kids, the family with the cancer survivor, the youth minister - the show is addicting - I guess I'll continue my vicarious living through the TV!

This has to be ABC's most awesome new show! I too cry watching these. It is amazing that they get everything done in time.
Can you imagine being one of the neighbors and Ty running around with the megaphone at 3 am?

Well, believe it or not, I just shot off my application packet! Wish me luck! :D

I had seen the past episode and like what they had done to the house. I even got emotional when the family was going to find out what the sex of their babies were. I like the backyard toys for the kids, but especially the little river they made-I want one of those.

Dh and I have started watching this and on this past Sunday's ep when they showed the backyard, we both went "HEY! That's OUR swing!" :p The three swings they gave the family for the triplets are exactly the same as the swing we bought for James. It's an Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing. :) I really thought they were deserving...I mean..geeze..two kids under the age of 6 and expecting triplets with Gramma living with them in the ratty old garage. That was so cool that they got their house fixed up. :)

I love this show. I am addicted to the home improvement type shows, Trading Spaces, While You Were Out, Clean Sweep, In A Fix, Debbie Travis Facelift, etc. I love Extreme Home Makeover thought, one because I love quirky Ty and also because the whole group does so much for the families and it is exactly what they need and deserve. I haven't watched one episode that hasn't made me cry! My only problem is it is on at the same time as Trading Spaces Home free so I have to flip back and forth or record one and watch it later!
