Well, that's kind of the point. A good business doesn't miss an obvious chance to make an easy good impression. I'd expect that kind of letter from a federal government office that doesn't give a rip and compels you to do things. Not a big deal to me, but it sure is curious to blow something so easy and obvious. Especially for a business.

I think this is the point that many of us try to make when we talk about DVC being a timeshare and nothing more. I think sometimes people have over inflated expectations and they get disappointed by things like the two week wait, the tone of the letter, etc. There will be plenty of Pixie Dust on your vacations, but you might be better off expecting a little less from your timeshare. Good luck with your purchase.

Well, today the MS CM found me in the system, she was very nice, but my account was only partially set up, just my name and address, no password, points, member number, or anything. So, we're making progress. LOL! Two weeks today from when title company emailed me that my deed had been sent to DVC, closed on 7/26, deed showed up on OCC website on 7/29. I'm not complaining, just updating to give others an idea of the wait time.

Disney received my stuff on 7/20 and I received my letter on 8/10 (3 loooooong weeks!). Hope your letter comes soon!

So it looks like its taking 3 weeks to get the contracts/points loaded? My broker said 10 - 14 days and tomorrow will be day 14 since the deed was recorded on the OCC website! Frustrating.

DVC News reported today that DVD sold more than 1600 deeds at VGF alone last month. That's a lot of direct buyers taking priority over resale buyers to get into the system.

We closed 7/25 and deed recorded 7/26, today we are in the system but CM wouldn't give me any other information. Said I should get my mailing by end of the week and gave me a number to call if I did not. Is that a light at the end of the tunnel??

Our broker said about 14 BUSINESS days after closing for points to be available. It took about 21 days for us to get our letter for our 1st contract & about 2 weeks after closing for points to appear in our account for our 2nd contract. This was in the past couple months.

this is the hardest part....the wait!!! our deed was recorded last week as well and anxiously awaiting....called member services and not in their system yet....so anxious as im wanting to book upcoming vacation and still undecided on where to stay not a bad thing

I closed 7/24 and I was able to gain access to the system after 15 days thru MA and had my official letter 4 days later.

Apparently you had more accurate information - mine did say 10 - 12 business days today is BUSINESS day 12. We will see just getting anxious about getting my Feb reservation complete! At least we have 4 nights 2bdrm GF already booked hoping to get the additional 4 nights all at the same resort.

Call Member Administration and make sure everything is okay with your deed. Mine was missing a page when it was sent to Disney. If I hadn't checked, they probably wouldn't have noticed it for a few more weeks.
