Anyone else tracking Santa on Norad....

without the kids?! I feel like such a dork, but I can't stop watching his progress. DD went to bed at 8:30 and I'm sitting here watching POTC: Dead Man's Chest and keeping track of Santa. I think I'll wait until he hits Dallas to put out the gifts. Whenever I enlighten DH of his whereabouts he just looks at me like I'm insane. Oh well, "if we weren't all crazy, we would go insane!"

WooHoo! I could have sworn I heard something swooping by my window here in NYC. Norad just said Santa was on his way over Central Park so that must have been him.

of course, all i want for Christmas is Orlando Bloom under my tree, but i know i won't get that, so the Pirate movies are the next best thing.

Does he take the same route every year? This is my first year to dork out (as DH puts it). It doesn't seem very time efficient, but he sure covers a lot of ground quickly. I'm afraid I'll be waiting for him to hit Dallas until after midnight.

We're following him too - the kids went to bed at 8! He's making me dizzy - why doesn't he go in order? Far be it from me to direct Santa but man, what a crazy route! DH and I are speculating that he gets somewhere and the kids are awake and watching for him so he goes somewhere else. I hope I can pull myself away soon!

He probably has to backtrack a lot if the kids aren't in bed yet.

I emailed Norad last year because it seemed like Santa pretty much skipped the whole continent of Africa. Not very PC in my opinion. This year they made two references of Santa in North Africa, (the London video & the Space station video.)

My husband just asked me to get on the NORAD site to see where Santa was.

So yes, I am checking NORAD without the kids!

I watched until Santa stopped in Rome and had some spaghetti. By then he had already been to my house.
