Anyone else THIS DITZY??

My friend at work wanted a chicken sandwich from Wendy's, I offered to go since I wanted fries and she had come in late so wasn'taking a lunch hour. I walk into Wendy's and notice it looks different, they've improved the layout....I get our food, come back with the bag and say to her "They changed Wendy's. THe layout is better now." SHe looks at the bag and says "Um, you went to BURGER KING"!!!!!!!!!!

That is hilarious!!! I've had blonde moments for sure...but I couldn't make that one. I don't like BK and can smell it a mile away. I can't believe you didn't notice at all. Thanks for a great laugh!!!

Well, my Dh once ordered pizza from Papa John's and then went to Domino's to pick it up. He didn't realize it until the person at the counter told him they couldn't find our order. He was so embarrassed!!!

Wowzie, I can't think of anything to compete with that. I did have a drunk uncle
that decided he needed to pull through for some fast food. He got really upset that nobody was helping him until he realized he was at a drive thru bank.

YES I've had those ditzy moments too and I can totally see myself doing something like that. Unfortunately I'm blonde too.

On June 28th I went to a baseball game that I had tickets for...packed up the kids, went out to eat before the game, etc. Get to the gate and the guy says, "um, maam, these are for JULY 28th."

Oh and you know what I hate....when you do something like that and you try to laugh it off with the other person and THEY DON'T LAUGH? That's what this guy did! I was saying "oh my I can't believe I did such a stupid thing" and he just stares at me like "neither can I."

Oooh, take care. Get another hour of sleep tonight!

Don't feel bad.

I called Petsmart to see if they had something in stock. Got a yes from the girl, got her name and then drove 1/2 hour to the store. I couldn't find the product on the shelf so I went to the cashier and asked where they kept it. She asked another worker and then they decided that they didn't carry the product. I started to get mad and said well I want to talk to so and so. I called her an hour ago and she said not only do you carry it, you have some in stock. The girls were confused for a second and then said are you sure you want Petco and not Petsmart? I had driven to Petco instead of Petsmart and didn't even realize the difference. OOPPPSS.

A few years ago Dh and I were laying on the couch watching arena football. I was kinda paying attention but mostly asking questions and bugging him.

I noticed an ad on the walls going around the arena and asked DH, "what's a goarmy cow?" (I pronounced it like gourmet, not go army) He looks at me, looks at the tv and starts laughing. I asked what was so funny and he informed me it was an ad for "goarmy.com"

So now, whenever we pass cows in a field (which is frequently since we live in the country), he asks me if it's a goarmy cow.

I had forgotten my dumb moment (ok, there's more than one) but thanks for jogging my memory.

I called the vet (London Animal Hospital) b/c I needed to schedule an appointment for our cat. They couldn't find our record on file. They searched every which way---by our last name, by the cat's name (Dingle) by our phone number...etc etc....

I was getting a bit peeved they couldn't find us.....we had just been in there 6 weeks before for shots and he needed his next set.

Finally they put me on hold.

The lady comes back on the phone snickering under her breath and says "ma'am, I called Sheffield Vets and it seems they have your cat's information there....is it possible you called the wrong place?"

Uh...yeah, sorry for wasting your time.

But at least I didn't take a "kidney stone" into my urologist and have the lab report come back as "cat litter" (dh did THAT one!!!)

Thats a good one! I did some ditzy stuff when I was pregnant but this one is hilarious. The worst I ever did was return a Hollywood Video movie to Blockbuster... I felt like an idiot but they said it happens a lot.

Don't feel too bad! Here's what I did once:

There was a Taco Bell in the area where I lived during and right after college. A few years after I had moved away, I ended up back in the area for the afternoon with one of my college friends. My friend and I decided to grab some Taco Bell for lunch. We went in and I ordered my taco salad minus sour cream, like I had done so many times in the past. The counter guy looked at us like we were nuts and told us the place was no longer a Taco Bell. Sure enough, the sign out front was completely different, and the fast food menu up on the wall wasn't even close to a Taco Bell menu! I think it turned into a deli or something like that. We were too busy talking on the way in and in line that we didn't even notice that the restaurant had changed! We were so embarrassed!

DBF and I were going to Applebees once. We get into the restaurant and it looked different. Not only that, but all their signs and menus say The Black Eye Pea. We figure they must be affiliated somehow because the name on the front says Applebees. Well, after we left we notice Applebees was next door. We felt really dumb.
