now that the Sopranos and Big Love gave had their season finales. I do like Deadwood, but the news that this is its last season has me thinking of skipping it. The way I figure, I can save 11 bux a month between now and January. Not big money, but could buy some souvies at WDW on a later trip :goodvibes . I honestly can't think of one reason to keep HBO now.

I was thinking of dropping both it and Cinemax a while back because I knew that during the hockey season (and with working so many stupid hours) there wasn't much time for TV other than hockey. I called Charter to sign up for the Center Ice package and told them I was going to drop the movie channels, and the guy said to hang on a sec. Came back to the phone a minute later with a deal that basically ended up lopping a bunch of the price off of the movie channels AND some off of the price of the CI package, too; when I added up all of the discounts, I figured that I ended up getting the $139 CI pkg free. So even though I don't watch much on either HBO or Cinemax anymore, it was worthwhile to hang onto 'em. :teeth:

Long story short (too late)...you might just call your provider and say you're thinking of cancelling HBO, and see if they'll cut you a break on the price.

I was just thinking about it tonight. All the show we loved are now gone.... Oz, SITC, Curb, and one or two more. Right now, the ONLY reeason we have it is for free On Demand of HBO.

We'll be punting Starz soon, but HBO and SHO are essentials. It doesn't make much sense to me to cancel it for a month and then just re-add it, since there is always some series on that we want to watch.

I'll second, Entourage! Best show on and I feel as though I've been waiting forever for it.

We always cancel HBO between Soprano seasons. I'll be calling the cable company today.

Done, Did IT already! :thumbsup2 I just wait for the DVD's to come out and watch the series then.

I wont cancil, but I am mad its the laset season of dead wood, and hate that 6 feet under wont be comming back

Bill Maher. :teeth:
Bill Maher's show is off until August (otherwise, I'd agree that Bill's show is worth the price by itself).

Entourage is definitely worth a look, if you haven't seen it.

We cancelled awhile ago. Once SaTC ended, we didn't watch it much, so a few months ago, we canned it. :)
