Anyone else think Lights, Motors, Action! is a waste of time?

It was pretty boring to me, cars going round and round. :rotfl:

I thought it was OK....nothing fantastic or anything like that.
I also agree that getting into and out of the stadium is way too time consuming.
Seeing this show once was enough for me.

I liked it and if we had time, I'd see it again. It certainly wouldn't be a priority though.

Never interested in this or that Sounds Stupid part of MGM.

I hope they sink some money into MGM and add new attractions. RnR and ToT are fantastic, but a lot of other attractions are lacking.

I always have to try something at least once. Then maybe I might do it again because I could have missed something the first time if everyone is raving about how good it was and I didn't really like it.
I definitely did not enjoy this but I have only tried it once. I will let you know the second time around. :scratchin

I'm glad I watched it once. It was coll learning how they actually preform some of those stunts in movies. However, I do not need to see it every trip. ON THE OTHERHAND.... DH and DS (14) aboslutely loved it and still talk about it! They will need to see it every trip. I agree the walk to the show is quite long. Now that I know that, I will be more mentally prepared for the walk next time!

We enjoyed it. It wasn't amazing or anything, IMO, and very typical of MGM, but we enjoyed it.

I can definitely see why some people wouldn't though.

If you are into Nascar would you like the show? My family (well some of us) are really into Nascar. Also, I heard someone say something about the seats dont have backs. Is that true for all the seating or just some? Thanks

I don't think any of the seats have back, except possibly the top row where the wall is the seat back. The seats are ordinary bleacher seats.

Many other shows have bleacher seats, the former Tarzan Rocks, and Indiana Jones, to name a few.

I enjoyed the show and saw it three times last year. This thread reminds me of my first visit to Epcot, ca. 1985, when I thought almost everything was shallow and hokey. Been to Disney more than 10 times since.

You are most definitely NOT alone. I saw it for the first time in September, and I was bored out of my mind. I literally fell asleep. I mean that. I was sitting there with my chin on my hand and fell asleep.

My wife wants to take our 5 year old to see it July. I've already told her I'd meet her after the show. I'd rather go see Walt Disney A Man And His Dream Exhibit. I absolutely refuse to sit though that show again.

Even the top row seats don't have backs! There is an aisle between the top row and the back wall, so there is nowhere to learn in any seat.

We saw it once and were disappointed . . . are unlikely to care enough to see it again.

I really enjoyed it. I'm tired of the "we're doing a film shoot here" story, but what else ya gonna do? You really have to admire the skills of the drivers, and the ability to constantly perform. The Herbie bit was dumb and uninspired. The walk to the seats is badly themed, as is the exit, but I assume they arranged the theater to keep the seats out of the sun. It would have been much easier to flip it around.

Hubby and I saw it in September and we can say that we saw it. Don't really care to see it again. Not a really big fan of racing or stunts so it won't be on our list of things to do this trip.

Hope I don't get flamed for this, but DH and I thought Lights, Motors, Action! was a COMPLETE waste of time! I thought the beginning was kind of neat and that the very last stunt was cool but the rest was BORING! It took FOREVER to get in, FOREVER to get started and FOREVER to get out. It was VERY loud and just a big waste of our time. We much rather would have been doing something else. Am I the only one who thinks this attraction is a waste of time?

P.S. We liked Soarin' a lot and EE was CLOSED when we were there :(

I was just there this past week, wife and I enjoyed it...thought it was different....and entertaining. But thats what we all like about Disney so many things people like and dislike.

The show wasn't something that really interested me, I was bored with it. But my boyfriend's brother and SIL really loved it, but they are more into cars and stunts than I am. I'm glad I saw it once, but I don't feel the need to go out of my way to see it again.

We thought it was just ok and won't be rushing back to see it

I would rather they bring back the Hunchback show, we thought that show was much better

I agree with you on this one OP. I saw this show in Paris 4 years ago and was so bored in between stunts, thought the jokes, using the crowd was kind of lame too. The show in WDW is a carbon copy of Paris so I won't be fitting it into my itinerary this year.

Count us in as a family that will not place this attraction on our must do each trip list.

The Fastpasses had us arriving 1 hour before showtime. Then we had to walk in with everybody else in the standby line. No priority whatsoever. Has this changed?

Ive sat on bleachers before, but these bleachers are the aluminum kind with the raised tracks going across that leave imprints on the back of your legs if you are wearing shorts.

It was pretty boring, and I would hate to take smaller kids because they will become restless.

LMA was slow to load and unload and people started leaving before the end of the show, trying to beat the crowd.
Im glad we saw it once, but I know my boys would rather have 30 min. playing on the HISTK playground.

We were underwhelmed by this show. It was fine to see once, but with the amount of time it takes to see it, we probably won't be doing it again.

DH liked it, DD (15) enjoyed it but said it was to long, DD (2) slept throught the whole thing even though it was loud. I thought it was good but it was such a hassle getting DS's wheelchair up to the seats that I don't think I would do it again. ALl and all my family would do it again.
