that we may be getting a tropical storm/hurricane up here in New England??? as if our winters aren't bad enough we need this kind of thing to spice up our fall?? I don't think so...I know I'm a bit worried because in April 2007 we lost our roof during a Patriots Day storm. The wind was really bad and we had flooding. I don't want that again....YIKES:scared1: This kinda thing isn't supposed to be happening up here :rotfl:

we have had a few good storms that started off as a hurricane. I am concerned about how much water is damaging the roads around here......a road collapsed into the river near where our son drives to come here. We lost two or three roads during August..
It is raining pretty hard here right now.......Hope your roof survives this storm...

Thanks...I know what you mean about the roads. I'm concerned about the same thing. I went over the bridge near our house yesterday and the water was so high already and very brown, you could tell it was all churned up. We didn't have any wind yet but it's been steady rain. Everything is already so soggy. I hoping to get out in a bit and go for a quick run by the beach to check out the waves.

I'm actually more surprised about how infrequently we've had tropical storms in recent years.

I am more surpised by the hurricane then the tropical storm I guess. It's not so much the rain it's the wind off the ocean that worries me.
