Anyone else stuck in blackout dates??!!!

Seems like everyone is doing the happy dance but me, I am booked the 16th-21st and have tickets to the Halloween Parade the 18th so I really can't change my dates, is there hope they might have some other discount for the blackout dates????? I would be happy with a room discount I just feel a little left out over her. Anyone in the same boat as me????

We arrive on Oct 11th until the 22nd, so we are in the same blackout time as you. Luckily, I had a feeling I wasn't going to end up with any discounts so I've had myself prepared for the worst from the beginning. I would love it if something else did get released, but again not going to get my hopes up!

I am booked for the October 17-25 and plan on attending the MNSSHP on the 18th. I have not purchased my tickets yet. I am considering changing to October 24-Nov 1 depending on what offer is released and what Southwest airfare is.

Once the offer is released, I will calculate the numbers and if worth it, I will pull the trigger.

Im stuck on a blackout date too We are coming 12/5 to 12/12 but from what I hear it is a pop warner week....we already purchased airfare and our MVMCP tickets so we cant switch.

I may be in the same boat.....checking in on Oct.23rd(can't change because of flights). One post said it was a black out date, one said it was not????Am sooo confused. Just once i would like to be able to take advantage of free dining.

I have a room discount but the free dining is better money wise.

we are too.. Oct 15-23... Oh well we will still be in Disney. Will just spend less on other things there. I think oct 23 is the first day FD starts back up. I believe you are good to go. I have not seen a release from Disney about the FD so I will wait to see the real blackout dates. We are getting an AP so i hope for a room discount for that. We should have a blackout party at the MK one day during the trip.

This happened to me last year for our Nov trip. Free Dining came out and our week was blacked out. Then a few weeks later the room only discount came out, which is actually better for our family. So keep your fingers crossed that the room discount will come out in a few weeks.

I'm not sure yet. By the rumored dates we're good to go but they feel a bit too good to be true with the Sat before Jersey week being an eligible check-in date. If it is the more typical Thurs as the last check-in before holiday blackouts, as Mouseplanet is speculating and as was the case with previous free dining offers, I'm not sure whether we'll tweak our dates or go with our offsite "backup" plan for the original dates we have in mind. This is why I don't buy airfare until discounts are announced!

You could use your room discount for a room only room on the 23rd and book the FD package for the rest of your trip.

I'm in the same boat! I originally planned to go Nov. 12-19. Thought that was a great time to go! Then I saw air fare for $184 RT last week for all of us, and I knew I had to jump on it.

My new dates are Nov 9-16. I thought only the week of Thanksgiving would be blacked out for Nov. if FD was offered. Was soooo hoping for FD!

I played the Free Dining game and lost!

We LOVE Disney, but I think we are going to make our $6000 Disney vacation, a $3500 Universal vacation.

Yep we're blacked out Oct 15-22, already paid for air back in frig it was likely February, ages ago..... already purchased MNSSHP for the 20th, ADR's all made same as everyone else, so switching isn't an option for me. I'd never get airfare what I got back then so its a wash for us, unless something else happens. I'm a Disney virgin so I never knew discounts were before coming on here months ago, now I had my hopes up at saving a little bit and am feeling pretty bummed, but owell, nothing we can do right. Except whine which I am doing alot of haha. I made my hubby an acct tonight and maybe we'll get lucky and get a PIN I've gotten about 4 so far just none worked for me as of yet.

Us too...we're booked at the Poly October 12-18th, have plane tix (on SWA), and have MNSSHP tickets for the 16th.

However, I am definitely willing to switch dates (and deal with the $178 loss for MNSSHP tickets) if we can save close to $600 on FD.

Do you know if you can resell MNSSHP tickets?

Just a question but where are ya'll seeing blackout days for the fall/winter for FD? I haven't heard about the FD being extended, and if it's a rumor then I wouldn't be making decisions yet or getting upset about losing out since it's it would only be a rumor as of now// Just saying..

We are blacked out as well we are going Oct 11-19 but keeping our fingers crossed for a room only discount mid August.

It's showing up on multiple sources some from internal and reliable sources it's looking to be very accurate.

Can I join too? I am going with my kids and need this trip to be as budget friendly as possible, and we are blacked out as well. We have APs this year and generally eat our largest meal at lunch when we are in the World, so FD does not help us at all. We added this trip as a morale booster as a lot seems to be going on here. Maybe if we all wish a Room only discount will appear!

Just thought I'd join in. We are going during Pop Warner week. I was lucky enough to get a room discount pin, so I can't complain. And I'll be in Disney with my DH to celebrate our anniversary (25!). (Sorry kids---you've got work and college, so we'll be leaving you home!!) Just thinking about it makes me smile.

Yep, it just figures! We researched the best time to go, weighed all the factors and decided to go for our anniversary in October. The 16th-32rd. What are the odds? lol Oh well, I'll eat lighter on this trip (maybe)!
