Every year it seems like of the 10-12 places we eat at 8-10 are always repeats(ESPN, O'hana,LeCellier, Rainforrest, Chef Mickeys,Sci-Fi, Boma,Donald's). Don't get me wrong they are good places and for the most part have had positive experiences/food. My wife and I like to try new places around home and when we discuss where we want to make ADR"S and eat at WDW we say we're going to try this (different) restraunt, but when we make the ADR we always end up back at those same places year after year. I know people have there favorites, or must do Charecter meals for kids, but are there other people that eat at say 75-80% of the same places time after time? :confused3

Yes - popcorn:: - our family is the same - favorites are a must do.

:cool1: 1st - a list of our favorites (repeats):
1900 Park Fair - lunch and dinner
Cindy's - breakfast
LTT - dinner
CP - breakfast
Chef Mickey's - breakfast
H&V for Fantasmic Pkg
HDD 7:15 PM show - must do per our kids
'Ohana - breakfast (new characters - Lilo & Stitch)
RFC - dinner

:teeth: New places we are trying in 3 weeks:
Whispering Canyon -lunch (DD birthday request)
Coral Reef - dinner (graduating DS request)
50's Prime Time - lunch - thought it would be fun
Rose & Crown - lunch (21st anniversary - we have done France & Italy, time to give the British a chance)
Tony's 8:15 PM dinner to be able to see Spectro Magic from the porch :)

:woohoo: We are doing 5 new places and 9 repeats - about 1/3 new meals to try :woohoo:

We do the same thing!
Although I have stopped going to 50's because, although we like it, I just have to stop going to the same places!!
Our repeats are:
50's PTC
Rainforest Cafe
Mama Melrose
Tony's
Chef Mickey's
Spoodles
This next trip I already have Tony's booked and am planning on Rainforest cafe. I'm really going to try hard to add new places. On our trip in May we tried Sci Fi, and we liked it. I will have to go back for those onion rings!! And we also tried Wolfgang Puck express for the first time and loved it so much we went back later in the week. What has stopped us from being more adventuress is the fact that my DD and I are really picky eaters! So, when I know I like a place I'm afraid to take a chance on a new place.

We have our favorites too, but always manage to try at least one new place each trip! LOL, usually by doing that, it just means our list of favorites becomes even longer. However, on this upcoming trip, we will be trying quite a few new places.....it's always fun to experience something new. :goodvibes

In January, our repeats will be:
San Angel Inn
50's Prime Time
Chef's de France
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Boma (breakfast)
Kona Cafe
Wolfgang Puck Express
Bakeries in Norway and France

New places we'll be trying:
Boma (dinner)
Grand Floridian Cafe
Marrakesh
Raglan Road
The Plaza
Flame Tree BBQ

It's hard to try new places when the favorites are just so good. We do like to try new places but we never miss Boma's.

Favorite repeats

Boma dinner
Crystal Palace lunch or dinner though being adventurous are trying breakfast this time
Ohana
Usually Chef mickeys though I am trying to avoid it this time to try something new

new

Whispering Canyon Cafe
Coral Reef
Spoodles
Teppenyaki
Kona Cafe
Wolfgang Pucksmaybe Jiko / Cali Grill

For once...I'm not...but I think it's going to bankrupt Mr. Brit. ;)

I have a list of restaurants also:

Every trip:
Boma
Cape May
Flying Fish

On Rotation:
Jiko (may soon become every trip)
California Grill
Citricos
Artist Point
Ohana (this one may drop-off the list)
Yachtsman
1 open spot to try something new

Considering that most of my trips are for seven nights (six dinners due to late arrival time) it makes deciding where to eat a challenge. Not to mention sometimes missing the opportunity to try something new. My next trip in October though I am making an effort to try two new places:

Brown Derby
V&A

New fav we are repeating from last trip:
Boma
WCC

Old favorites:
50's PT
HDDR

new to us for this trip:
Cali Grill
O'hana
Garden Grill
Kona Cafe'

On our last trip we weren't "allowed" to eat at the same place. Now if say like Kona we had only had breakfast we could go there for supper..yummy, yummy I must say.
I made several ADRs and ended up canceling most of them, the second time I have done that..we just can't get into being trapped into eating at a certain time.
We tried some new counter service last time too.
It's kind of fun to try some new stuff and it turns out we didn't miss our old stuff.

I would say that we have our normal snacks and lunches at places we would not miss but for dinner we try to pick new places. This October we are trying Chef Mickey and Princess Storybook for breakfasts....I am not too pumped about it but we are doing it for our nieces.

In December I am really excited to try Boma, Kona and Le Cellier. We are also trying Mama Melrose and 1900 Park Fare too.

I would love to be able to dine at all the restaurants throughout WDW but it may take me a long time ha ha

We definitely have our favorites. As we take more trips however, and try new places, then the must do list grows! We went for 10 days earlier this month and I cancelled LTT to try something new (50's PT). PT was great but my kids were really ticked we didn't do LTT. Some trips we just don't have enough days to eat everywhere we love! I am currently hashing out our December trip and we are having a hard time agreeing on what to ax off the list!

We have our favs too!

Must do's :thumbsup2
Kona (dinner)
Park Faire (dinner)
Le Cellier (on DDP)

High up on the list-but don't do every time (don't want to get to bored) :goodvibes
Teppanyaki
50's PT

Want to try: :)
Alfredo's
Rose and Crown?
Cantina de San Angel?
Biergarten-ate there 8 or so years ago.

What I really like about the DDP is that we've gotten to try different restaurants that we normally wouldn't have. When we're on our own we only have a couple TS each trip and do more CS. On our last trip I think we only did two (not on DDP) Kona and PF. We ate offsite more. Since we've had DDP (twice now) we now have new favs. We hadn't tried Kona, PF, or LC before. We've also eaten at GC (very good) being on DDP.

It dosen't feel like a trip to Disney if we miss our favorite spots. We have branched out recently and have added new favorites.
Our must do's:

Calif. Grill
Le Chefs
Casey's corner for hot dogs

Repeats next trip:
50's Prime Time
Crystal Palace (Breakfast)
Mama Melrose (repeat for DH & DD)
1900 Park Fare-dinner (repeat for DD)

New next trip:
Chef Mickey's
Coral Reef
Mama Melrose (new to me because I was sick last trip)
Whispering Canyon Cafe
1900 Park Fare-dinner (new to DH and I; MIL took DD here while we ate at Cali. Grill)
Rose & Crown

Favorites we are not doing:
Liberty Tree Tavern
California Grill
Le Cellier

We also plan on trying lots of new counter service. :)

My husband and I were doing a lot of repeat restaurants, so on our trip last month we made a pact not to repeat any restaurants we had been at - not even our beloved Fultons Crab House. The entire nine days we were there we only repeated a restaurant once, that was because of lack of availability any where else. Now, we plan to eat at every single restaurant on property before we can repeat. 72 more restaurants to go. Our next trip will be 9 or 10 days again, so we can knock off several restaurants.

I suspect our plan might not be a good choice for some people, but we discovered many wonderful restaurants we had previously overlooked. I am not generally an adventerous person, I like things regimented, but trying new meals and looking at new scenery was sort of fun. ;)

GUILTY!!! :rolleyes1  :rolleyes1

We are, however, eating at the new Hollywood and Vine Breakfast in MGM in August!! All of our other meals are repeats for me and DH ... the girls have never stayed at CSR, so the Pepper Market will be new for them!!

I was considering eating the the Rain Forest Cafe' in AK for lunch instead of Pizzafari ... but what to do with those extra CS credits?!?! UGH!!!

It no longer holds the top space in my heart, but we end up eating lunch at least once at the Crystal Palace on every trip to the MK on the chance that I'll find my favorite dish being served again. (A mushroom/artichoke/potato pancake dish that I haven't seen served again in 10 years! :guilty: )
