Anyone else still waiting for online purchases?

Yesterday I got one item that was on backorder and I was afraid wouldn't arrive in time.

I ordered from Amazon, etoys, Old Navy and some place I never heard of all on the same day. I got almost everything right away, one backorder at Amazon that showed up yesterday, but the toy from the place I never heard of (platinum something) is a no show.

The charge appeared on my credit card posted on 12/6 and the confirmation said it would ship within 2 days so that would have been 12/8. I emailed and called (got a voicemail) and yesterday recieved an email back that I should receive my package today...

yeah, well I'll believe that when I see it.

I got something else for the recipient - so if the package dues arrive today, DS will get an extra gift, if it doesn't appear today, I'll call the credit card to reverse the charge.

Think I'll stick with the "big boys" for online!

I almost hope it doesn't make it, I just packed away all the gift wrapping stuff!

Yes, still waiting on an item from Circuitcity.com. Couldn't find it at my local store. Of course, I waited until 12/20 to order it, but did request 2nd day shipping. I told my DD (she's 17) that one of her items might not make it for Christmas, and she said "That's OK. It'll just make Christmas last longer!"

My last item arrived yesterday (whew!). They actually shipped very fast .. it was me that was late in placing the order.

I have had really good luck shopping online... but I do tend to order from larger companies or ones that I have dealt with via regular catalog orders before. It seems to pay off.

UPS just brought my last gift! I bought a watch from fossil.com and I just ordered it Friday night, so I wasn't sure it would make it. They overnight shipped it for FREE!!! Gotta love that!

No delivery so far here, no mailman nor UPS, but it's snowing pretty good and I'm sure they are behind schedule...

either way, I am in such a good mood today, I'll keep it if it comes this WEEK! A nice extra gift for DS!

But if it does show up today, I hope it comes soon! DH & DS just went to drop off some gifts so I would be able to do a quick wrap job!

Oh well, Merry Christmas anyway!

Sticking with the big boys isn't necessarily great either.

JC Penney messed up my order. I placed the order on the 12th and everything was in stock. I asked for it to be giftwrapped and somehow they had a question with that. The order just sat there until a few days ago when I called to find out what the holdup was. They asked me about the giftwrap and sure enough what I ordered was exactly what I wanted. Imagine that. And it wasn't anything unusual -- just Christmas giftwrap.

So now it won't get there until the 27th. They didn't offer to upgrade shipping or anything to make it there on time and didn't even allow me to pay for the upgrade myself.

I am waiting on the Disney Store. When I ordered them it said they will make it by Christmas well dont have them. What makes it worse is that I got a email that they were sent.....It took them 6 days just to mail them out. Oh well

I got an order from amazom.com today-- I really didn't expect it in time for Christmas since I think I ordered it Friday or Saturday (and did the free shipping).

DH's 4 year old cousin in Germany is still waiting for her Sesame Street video from amazon.de. They said it was in stock and then e-mailed me later to say they had to order it from their supplier. Well thankfully the 10 year olds video arrived and I'm sure they'll both enjoy Spirit.

Ordered one last present over the phone last Tues. because a different company I ordered on line from emailed me two days after ordering to tell me it was out of stock. Didn't give it much hope of it being here by Christmas but lo and behold it came today in the mail.
