 Ok so Im a big chicken..I love rides but Space Mt scares the you know what out of me, I swear I thought I was gonna fall out..

I normally even chicken out of Splash but this yr I promised my family I would ride it with them. Strange thing is I can ride Mission Space, Test Track and get this.. even Tower of Terror with no problem. I dont know what it is about TT but it seem more comforting that the whole floor is going down with you instead of this little cart tipping forward on this little track. I know Im probably strange..

Anyway sometimes Im afraid Im really missing out and I want to enjoy these rides with my family but my last experience on Space Mt was not a fun one..I use to be very over weight so I would use my heart as an excuse..lol I cant do that now since Ive lost most of it..
Anyway my whole babble was about EE, is it as bad as it seems anyone do it that was deathly afraid??

It's a really really great ride! I can understand being scared to go on EE if you didn't like Space Mountain but if you feel it's something you are really missing out on, then try it once. You never have to go on it again, just try it once. That's how you found out you didn't like Space Mountain right? Because you tried it at least once.

EE is a great ride. It is less scary than RockNRollercoaster. There are no inversions. The themeing of the ride is really first class.

EE is not bad. I rode it last week and the pacing of the ride is fantastic. It is long for a roller coaster. But you start off slow, then go backward, then forward faster than when you started. I would equate it to Space Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain speed. Not as fast as RR, but like was mentioned no inversions either. Plus the picture that is taken on the ride is going to be great with the look of terror on your face. All you can see of my 8-yr old DS is the top of his head. The rest of him was buried in my DW's armpit. He wasn't afraid of the ride, he was afraid of the Yeti!

It is a great ride. I think you will enjoy it if you try it!

You really need to ride it at least one time! I am the QUEEN of chicken when it comes to rides. There is NO WAY I will ever to TOT! I decided I just had to ride Everest and I really loved it! I can't believe I am even saying that! It is much smoother than Thunder Mountain. I rode Thunder Mountain for the first time on this last trip too! The thing that made me feel more secure about Everest is that the track is "enclosed" for the most part, either by tunnels or the ground around it. It is not an open air roller coaster where you do think you are going to fall out. The big climb up the mountain is awesome. If you look to the left when going up, you can see all of the other parks - it's amazing. I hope you can get up your nerve to do it!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am a chicken and don't do any coasters - I haven't even done Kali River Rapids because I'm afraid of the drop! I watched my family do EE 5 times during our last trip, and I'm very happy doing that!

I say go for it, but sit in the middle or the back. The Space Mtn. cars are REALLY small, and even though I love all the Mtns. and coasters of all kinds, I do agree that SM feels a little like it could tip off the track. (I know it can't, but I do understand the feeling you are describing.) EE doesn't feel anything like that though. It is a long train, more like Big Thunder, but the "engine" is in the back, so from the front car you have a really clear view of the track. I thought it was totally cool, (especially when DH and I got to sit in the front row without even asking!!) but it sounds to me like you would be more comfortable further back in the train. I'd hate for you to miss it, it is a great ride!

My just turned 6yo DD rode it and was fine. She was a little bit scared of the Yeti, but as far as the ride it self she was fine. It's a great ride that you have to at least do once.

I'm a chicken too. I wont ride TOT, R&R or Mission space. I even find the HM scary and used to cry on SM lol. But i am determined to ride EE in September. It looks brilliant and a little scary but so are lots of rides the first time you ride them. I know i will want to Chicken out but I'm not even going to think about it, its the first thing we are going to do when we get to AK and so hopefully we will be in such a rush to get to it before the lines get long i will not even think about what i am about to ride. I dont think its the ride that scares me, i think its the unknown (and maybe the yeti lol).

I have to say that i am pretty scared to go on it to!! I have chickened out of going on Mission space... But I do like thunder mountain and i will ride space mountain. Are there a lot of drops on EE?? That's the only part i really don't like about a roller coaster. :sad2:

I used to be a chicken too-didn't like Goofy's Barnstormer but then my painfully shy DD became a thrill ride junky. I'm happy she has this outlet so what's a mom to do? I took a trip with 2 girl friends May 1st to celebrate my bday. I also took my DD May 19th to celebrate her 7th birthday. On the adult trip I was determined to do all the thrill rides I knew DD would want to do and EE was one of them. It is a fast ride-faster than BTM and the drop is bigger-I don't like drops-Splash or TOT-but you seem OK with those. Just when I was about to think "this is way too much for me" the event (speed or drop) would be over. I liked that EE has individual bars for each rider on the seat. I felt safer with that-even though I know all rides are safe. On my first ride with adult friends I made myself keep my eyes open so I would know what my DD was in for. That actually helped a lot. I freak out more with eyes shut. SO...I rode EE 3 times with DD and by the 3rd time I really enjoyed it.

Yeah I don't like Splash Mountain and I've been to scared to go on ToT because of the drops. It is really that bad on EE? :confused3

I know I'm in the minority, and DH says I'm a wimp, but yes, it is! And I speak from one (and only one) experience. I couldn't wait to ride EE. I'd seen the shows on TV about it, figured it didn't look worse than BTMRR, which I can do, so I went. I even got a FP, then stood in the stand-by line-I'd get to ride it TWICE! Well, after the first ride, I stumbled off and handed my FP to a woman whose DH wanted to go alone. Three hours later, my stomach had calmed down enough to handle the train ride to Rafiki's Planet Watch, the only other ride I did that day. Otherwise I stuck with sitting and watching shows, no movement on my stomach's part. Two days later, DH rode it (when he finally got off the golf course) and sat next to a young boy who was on his 5th ride. Yes, I'm a wimp.

I rode last week with DH because I have this thing that I like to be able to say I rode "XX" when it was new before anyone else I knew rode it. I will say I will NOT ride it again - the darkness just made it too scary and I screamed the whole time. I got off and had to hold on to DH as I was Dizzy - and I was for about 30 minutes. He thought it was good, but like RR in Studios better!

I am a self-proclaimed thrill ride chicken! The first time I rode Rock N Rollercoaster, I clung on for dear life and didn't make a sound. I actually have gotten to where I love that one now! But EE? No. DH and DD rode twice during our last trip, and could not coerce me to step foot on it. We were just having a discussion about this last night - DD insisting that I ride it next time. we'll see.

I love thrill rides but I have been on rides similar to Space Mountain (read a detailed descript) and I have no intention of riding this as I hate those type of "rollercoasters". IMHO, if you can ride TOT, you should be fine on EE as that rollercoaster should be nothing like SM... I can't wait for EE, Soarin, and Rock n Rollerocoaster.... :cool1:

I think the theming of EE looks great, but I don't think I'll ever work up the courage to do it. I did RNR once and HATED it! I love Splash Mountain, though. Somehow the fact that you land in water makes it ok for me. It took me 7 trips to work up the courage to ride TOT and I loved that too. I was worried that landing after the drops would be too jarring, but it is very smooth and the feeling of free falling is awesome. But roller coasters - just not for me.
