Anyone else remember "Donald in MathMagic Land"?

I think one of the most enduring memories of my elementary school education was getting to watch the film "Donald in MathMagic Land".

Do you remember the thrill of walking into class and seeing the old Bell & Howell film projector perched on it's roll around cart, full reel on the front? You'd always look at the front reel to see how long the movie would last....of course the longer the better.

Did anyone else have to watch Bartleby the Scrivener in school.
He always "preferred not to..". Never quite knew what we were supposed to "get" out of this film, but any film was always better than watching a filmstrip.(beep) (next frame)

We had a teacher who used to let us watch the films backwards...

I think Donald in Mathmagicland is coming out on DVD May 18 This is one of those features that I "almost" remember but will come rushing back to me when I see it on the disc

We watched it a couple of times for math class. I loved it.

We did the same thing with the movies.. check to see how long they were.

I remember that old cartoon. It was a great excuse to not do any school work...lol!

I used to love the OLD Goofy cartoon where he had to lose weight.

Love the movie! Mom was a math teacher and showed it in her classes - at the community college! DVD, huh? Might be a good Mother's Day present....
