Anyone Else Order Checks from Checks Unlimited?

We have always gotten our checks from our local bank, for a few years they were even FREE, but now they are charging again, and we feel they're too expensive so I decided to order from Checks Unlimited. They had a special where you buy 3 boxes and get a 4th free, plus free shipping, so I thought it was a good deal. We received the checks, BUT they goofed on the account number! So, I called yesterday and they are sending new ones but I hope they HURRY UP and get here and are printed RIGHT this time, as I'm down to just 8 checks, yikes!! Was just wondering if others have had problems with miss-printed checks.

We order from them often and we have never had a problem so let's hope it was an isolated incident!

I've ordered from them for years and haven't had a problem. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident.

I order from them too but am thinking about changing back to the bank. I didn't think they were particularly inexpensive and in 4 boxes of checks, only 2 registers are included. It costs $5 for 2 more registers. With all the debit card use, I go through registers faster than checks.

I ordered Mickey checks from Checks Unlimited, and I didn't have a problem with them at all.

Breezy_Carol--I used to work at a bank, and we gave free checkbook registers to all account holders. You might ask at your bank to see if that's the case there too. :)

I always order from them and, knock on wood, I've never had a problem.
Carol-I also used to work at a bank that gave free registers to their customers.

I've ordered from them several times and haven't had a problem. I love the checks they offer too :)

I always order from Checks Unlimited. I have never had a problem either. My only beef is that I never seem to have enough deposit slips. Won't be such an issue but there is one teller at my bank who seems really put out by having to give me a deposit slip. My bank no longer makes them available in the lobby. Maybe one of the former bank employees could shed some light on why I can't just pick up a deposit slip anymore.

I used Checks Unlimited for a few years but then started ordering from Sam's Club. I thought they were less expensive & liked their checks too, but then my bank started offering to pick up 1/2 the cost of the checks when you order, & since I liked the POOH checks, I went with our bank now to order checks.

I too would like to know why you can't pick up checking deposit slips in the bank lobbies anymore...you have to ASK a teller for them. (My bank doesn't seem to mind though.)

Another who has had no problems, and ordered many times:D

I have ordered from them several times without any problems, but I do not get 4 boxes. That is too many. I get tired of the same prints after one box and need a change, LOL! They seem relatively inexpensive to me. I hope their customer service is good and they get the correct checks out to you asap. Good luck!

Glad to hear no one else has had problems with them, I'm hoping this type of thing doesn't happen very often but I was kind of upset it happened on our very FIRST order with them. :(

But the customer service rep. I spoke with was very, very nice and said they would be in-house to reprint them within 2-3 days and then be OVERNIGHTED to me at NO FURTHER COST so if they stand by that, then I will have no need to be upset. By my calculations I should have them by Monday, Tuesday at the latest.

Our bank still has deposit slips for checking and savings account at the desk in the lobby. I wonder why some don't...seems odd a person would have to ASK for one from a teller.

I have used a number of the check printers, including Checks Unlimited, and so far have not had any problems. DH and I just opened a new account and order checks through the bank- $18 for safety paper! . I so wanted the Mickey and Pals, but they were $26 for 150. I know from experience that there are better deals online, or from the circulars in the newspaper. I usually buy a box of 200 "designer" checks for less than $10 including s/h. The first-time buyer specials are a good deal, if you need a lot of checks. One box of 200 will last me about a year, and I write more then a dozen checks per month.

My bank still has blank deposit slips, although they are currently out of stock and are having customers use Money Market deposit slips. One of the check companies, Image?, sells them I think. You can buy preprinted ones from the bank, but they're expensive when compared to the free ones that you have to write your account information on.

Elizabeth and Laura, DH does go to the bank and asks for registers. I just thought we were trying to get something for free when we did that. Maybe not.

Used to order from them all the time but then somehow my sisters account was "stolen". Everything turned out OK, it was a minor headache. Can't remember how, as it has been ages ago. I switched back to my bank.

We had a batch of checks from them that weren't properly perforated. It was nearly impossible to tear the checks out of the checkbook. When we contacted them, they sent us replacement checks right away. We have been very happy with Checks Unlimited.

Check registers are the book that you used to track your account. You can purchase additional ones from the same check companies usually.

Not only do I order checks from Checks Unlimited, but I use to work in their in-bound call center taking check orders over the phone.
