We are very psyched to see At World's End! Never really got excited over a movie before, but we are all really anticipating this one. Read some reviews through the associated press this morning and they are already dogging the movie. Oh well, the critics aren't always on the mark. Needless to say, we are off to support of stock holdings! Anyone else doing the show at 8pm tonight? pirate:

Nope -- it doesn't open here until tomorrow -- but we will be at the first show at noon.

I guess we are lucky that our local theatre is one of the ones doing the early shows today. Tomorrow they are showing it every hour from 10am until 10pm...guess they are expecting a big turnout. Think my butt will be sore after sitting three hours.

We have free tickets for buying $25 of groceries at a grocery store- I'm so excited to go, for free! LOL! But we are going to wait and catch a matinee next week when the kids are in school ;)

For the Last Pirate movie, my husband and I and my young teen went to the Midnight Opening of the movie. People came all dressed up in full pirate costumes and the sights were amazing. People were singing and laughing!!!The lines for the theaters (they played it in several) was long and yet totally "in order"...people were so excited and we loved the movie.
We were a little disapointed that they didn't do it for this movie, so we're gonna catch it over this weekend sometime instead.
Have a great time everyone, with the previews.. the movie will be running over three hours, so be comfy LOL :rotfl2:
ENJOY!
Have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend too!

I actually bought the first one today. We have seen both 1 and 2, but I want to see them both again before watching the third! So, we will watch the first tonight or tomorrow, get the second this week, and go see #3 in the theatre next weekend (we have a really busy weekend for memorial day - 2 parties and a garage sale we are having - plus finishing opening our pool and yardwork). But it is on the calendar for next weekend!!!

I just got back from the movie-unfortunately DS had an asthma attack half way through and we had to leave. :sad1: Just my luck! The manager at the theatre was nice enough to give us tickets for tomorrow and I thought that was nice...but now I am dying to have left hanging in the dead middle of the movie! DS got home to his breathing machine and he is fine now. Ahhhh...the joys of being a parent. So we will try again tomorrow and hopefully we can get through the whole thing this time! The special effects really are awesome this time around and from what I did see, it was good, but a little drawn out. Lots of different stories going on all at the same time-little hard to keep track of who is on what side of things at times. Can't wait to see the rest now. pirate:

Just got back .. woo almost 3 hrs long. I enjoyed it, but def. like the first two better. The leading men was YUMMY as always lol.
Im so bummed not one person in costumes!!!!
Looks like there will be a Pirates 4!

Okay, so we are off in another hour to try this again! Hopefully today we can get through the whole movie! I am letting DS and DD play hooky today from school-I know-very bad! They only missed 4 days this year and since school is out in 2-3 weeks, what the heck!

I'm excited that they left things open for a possible Pirates 4. Can't wait to see how it all ends! pirate:

We supported our stock holdings as well and I gotta say I completely agree with the AP. Quite simply, I disliked it...disliked II as well. I could have done without the first 2 hours....it really picked up at the end though. Of course, seeing Orlando Bloom was worth the price of admission, but the movie left me flat.

Took DD 3 to see it last night!!! She LOVED it!!!!! I have a funny from the movie and those that saw it will know what I am talking about. . . . There is a part where DD laughed out loud and said. . "That is so funny!! Jack Sparrow has a little one!!!!!"

Okay, so yesterday we got through the whole thing! Second times a charm! I'm not Orlando Bloom fan (at least not in the sense that I am drooling over him) and I wish Johnny Depp had more screen time in this one, but I definitely liked 3 much more than I did 2. I remember leaving the theatre last year with 2 and thinking WHAT WAS THAT? :confused3 I guess which installments you liked certainly depends on what your looking for or what floats your proverbial boat. To be honest, I could have done without the whole love story in this trilogy and I am a love story kinda woman. Just glad they left things the way they did at the end with POTC4 being an option. pirate:

Seen it last night...3 hrs is a little long for me though, I ahve trouble sitting thru shorter n=movies as well. DD will eed to see it again though , as she fell asleep. Hopefully her dad will take her to see it, once he gets mor comfortable getting around in the weight bearing cast on his leg,
