Anyone else notice pricing errors on the DCL website?

When I go in to check prices for my cruise Sept 9-12, this is what happens. I fill out the info, 2 adults, 2 children age 6 and 2, no airfare. I choose a Cat. 8 for $1955.40 and this is what shows up on the quote page. Then as soon as I decline ground transfer, the price jumps up to $2023.40 (when it should go lower then $1955.40), then, if I add the transfer back in, it goes to $2219.20, what happened to the original quote. Anyone else notice problems or am I going crazy?

I know there have been a couple gliches since they change their system. I checked my reservation a couple days ago and it said it was now $800 more expensive than the original price. I called and the price was correct in the DCL reps computer. She said they are still working on the kinks.

Hi,

I was just wondering if you are talking about the 2004 Sept 9 thru 12 th cruise. We are on that cruise as well. I see that you are from FL and I am not sure if you know it or not but there are Fl resident rates out for that cruise. We just got a great deal!! Anyway, you probably already know, but I just wanted to make sure.

Yup, big problems still. I have been watching the 11/19/05 cruise and the same things happen. You remove the insurance and transfer options and the price goes UP! And, even still, the price I get there was way off from other pricing engines (expedia, travelocity). Frankly, I *still* think the Disneycruise.com website booking engine is the WORST and hardest to use.

I wish they would get it together and make it functional and easy.

I noticed that too, but I thought maybe the price at the bottom of the first quote page was BEFORE the ground transfers and travel insurance were added in ...

I tried with and without the transfers, but both times I left the travel insurance in ... next time I play around I'm going to get the price of the transfers and insurance, then add/subtract them to see what the web site comes up with vs. my calculator.

Also I'd done a shop and compare for an early December cruise a couple of weeks ago, went back a few days ago and the price had jumped about $400 ... YIKES!!!

Hey gshoemate and disneyisfun! we're on that cruise too. (DH, Me, DS 11 and DD 6. We have friends traveling too DH, DW, DD 13 and DS 10) Have you registered on our "Cruise Meets" thread? Last time I checked there were only three groups registered.

Disneyisfun, I saw the FL Res. Rates on the board and called my TA. We went from a cat 9 to a cat 4 and the price went down $20.00. Wahoo!

I'd love to ask about your travel groups, plans, etc but think we're suposed to do that on the "Cruise Meets" thread. Come and visit soon!

We had a similar thing happen. We got an error message (red) that said the price was going up. I believe this happened after we declined the ground transportation. This was what spurred us to book that night (just over a week ago). However, when we went through, it went back to the originally quoted price, without insurance and ground transfers. It seemed to be a temporary glitch.

There are some issues with pricing thru their website bookings. I e-mailed them and they are aware and working on it.
